Book read I. February 2024

This is about 4 women that became friends, these are their stories about their infidelities. I think they justified their infidelities instead of being honest with their spouses and the May, lack of communication. But it is also about friendship and at the end of the novel, each of them grew as a person. 3⭐️I almost DNF in those first chapters. Nominated in the Planeta Prize🤷🏽‍♀️

Rereading since high school because I recently watched the Lifetime Origins series. Damn this is warped. #41-2024 Flowers and #44-2023 Petals

The preface almost made me put down this book and not even start, but I already bought it and can‘t return it. This was a depressing, sad book about a family in a poor mountain Italian town starting in the early 1900s. There was no plot, it just went on and on about mundane life with her fathers abuse peppered in. It‘s not really about death at all, which is a shame because the title is intriguing. BarbaraBB I couldn‘t finish this one. So boring. 10mo

Book #41
4/5
Unique concept, well written. Parts of it may have gone a bit...unhinged...but that fits the theme nicely. A few people start hearing a hum that most of the population can't hear. They find one another and form a group to try to determine the origin of the hum.

Kris10H Things become increasingly out of hand, as those who can't hear the hum start to suspect the group of cult-like behaviours.
Definitely a good read for anyone looking for something different than all the common story tropes.

The #CBBC book that I had to read was the fifth book in this series so I decided to start with book number one. It was okay but the grandma character was so funny. My mouth was watery all the time with all those delicious recipes and types of cheese 🧀 😋I‘m intrigued enough to know what is going to happen in the next book. 3 ⭐️

The “parts” could‘ve connected better earlier on but the end was fantastic. I started writing this review half way through, because I didn‘t like the book. BUT I‘m VERY glad I stuck it out. Sci-fi - moon colonies, time travel, a glitch in the system, and humanity. It‘s a little all over the place, but stick with it because it all makes sense in the end!!!! Book #41 in 2022

Another Wicked Villains book. And the villain may actually be the hero. Or is the heroine the hero? Definitely an adult fairy tale either way. #41-2022
