Heavy dose of family, smidge of grief, and a huge helping of get your act together. This was a charming, character driven tale about 3 cousins who must work together to uncover their family‘s foggy past. I enjoyed all 3 and would love to see this made into a hallmark movie! Book #34 in 2022
Another childhood memory. This 40th anniversary edition is awesome. Lots of bonuses and the cover is fuzzy! #34-2022
22 #34 Adriana Trigiani is just an incredible writer. If she writes it I want to read it.
Book #34
Excellent Book! After too much sex in the second book, I enjoyed the focus being shifted to alliances, growing powers, and the relationships in their world. Lots of fun twists and turns and satisfactory.
Finally got to read book #3 in the Beezus & Ramona series: Ramona the Brave! These stories are so cute and Ramona truly was brave - she was in first grade after all. My great-niece starts first grade tomorrow. I know she will be brave, too. She loves school! #107 #BookSpinBingo #23 #TAILSandTALESforADULTS #34 #SERIES2021 #HSREADATHON
Book #34: It took me a while to get into it, but man was it cute when I did. Both heartwarming and heartbreaking. You‘ll fall in love with all of the characters and Marsyas Island. Upon finishing the book, I looked into why there was some controversy around the author and became aware of the inspiration for the book - would rather not have known that bit but the more you know.
I never imagined i would read such a long series, but I just finished book #34 and have the next in my queue. I love the story arcs of Eve, Roarke, Peabody, etc. I did not find the murder mystery as interesting as previous books, but my dislike of ‘celebrity‘ may have jaded my read. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus—I was happy to learn Eve may finally have found a hiding place for her sweets that the Candy Thief is unable to find!
