This book reminds me of all the things I take for granted growing up as a middle class American citizen

My first #bookofthemonth, and my 6th read of the year. Trying to slow down a bit, and live in the book!

Small Great Things | Jodi Picoult

Pickpick

When I first started reading this, it was difficult to feel comfortable with a white woman speaking a black character into life, especially revolving around race. Picoult really did an amazing job though and I hope she inspires change in the people who read this book

Who Do You Love: A Novel | Jennifer Weiner

Took me a while to finish but I found it interesting the whole way through. I thought the ending was way too abrupt but overall it was a great love story

The Nix | Nathan Hill

Never heard of this author or this book, but I randomly picked it up at target. I haven't put this book down since opening page one. Nathan Hill is simply a great story teller. I get the feeling that it's not just the story that's good, but the way he tells it 💜

It really annoys me when review quotes are put on the cover. Maybe I'm weird but the cover page should be for the title and visual! No offense to the Washington Post but this isn't your book!
