I really enjoyed this fake dating, friends to lovers romance! I just wish it were more holiday-ish with more festive feels. Yes, it‘s set on a Christmas tree farm, but the bulk of the book was set before Thanksgiving. 🤷🏻♀️
The cover is really cute though!

#bookspinbingo - got another bingo!
Stella‘s farm‘s struggling, so she enters an insta-influencer‘s contest to save it. She says she runs the farm w/ her boyfriend, which she doesn‘t, so when she‘s selected as a finalist, her best friend, Luca, steps in to pretend. Then it doesn‘t feel like pretend anymore.
I like fake-dating, so I really enjoyed this one. It was written beautifully, but Stella‘s character got annoying. The plot was great. Definitely recommend as a Christmas read.
I never fell in love with the heroine, but I liked the hero a lot. It‘s the first in a trilogy and I hope my library obtains the other two 🤞🏽
Tbh not my fav. Pointless people & not Christmassy at all! Clueless main character. But their friendship was cute & 🌶️ was ok! Not crazy about it
My last read of 2023! It‘s a cute Christmas romance, but it took too long to get to the heart of the story and plot. It definitely did not need to be over 10 hours long.
I managed to fit in another holiday romance on audio before Christmas! Fake dating, best friends to lovers, all on a mysteriously sabotaged Christmas tree farm, this was a quick, easy, and festive read—though a little forgettable, and I wish it were a little more Christmassy!
Is this a Faking boyfriend romance? Friends to lovers? No, I think Stella is an opportunistic person that use the fake date contest just to have a romance with her best friend. Then she doesn‘t want any fake relationship just a serious one, really? It would be easier if she just told him her feelings from the beginning without that drama🙄Those supposedly sexy parts were so boring too🥱Too cheesy too immature. Definitely, I have a Grinch heart 2⭐️
This was a lighthearted friends to lovers holiday romance. Nothing super special but I enjoyed it. I think I prefer the fake dating trope when the characters don't already know each other so well. Stella was ridiculously frustrating in her obliviousness about Luka's feelings for her but otherwise they had a cute relationship. The setting was fun & I really liked the side characters so I'll read the rest of the series to see their stories play out
4.75/5 ⭐️ Nearly perfect, with the exception of a third act issue. I love the friends-to-lovers trope and fake dating. So much holiday festiveness and delicious sounding food! This really helped to boost my Christmas cheer! I'll definitely be read the rest in the series! #wintergames #CandyCaneCrushers
I didn‘t love this book. It was just okay. I did speed up the audiobook to get through it. It was just very repetitive and she had the same thoughts constantly. She was also kind of dumb.. like all this damage was happening to the farm and she‘s like oh no big… and refuses to tell the police and it‘s THOUSANDS of dollars in damages. Maybe if we got both perspectives it would have been better. 🤷🏻♀️

Friends-to-lovers, fake dating, and a Christmas tree farm? ‘Tis the season - sign me up! I got what I expected from it: a cute and cozy wintry romance. I probably won‘t read more from the series, but it was a pleasant pick for this time of year! 🎧
Another not-bad Christmas read. It was cute. It was fine. Some cute banter. Great Christmassy atmosphere. Just not enough to pull this distracted brain into their world. If you like Hallmark movies (and, yes, I do, so don't come for me 😂), this might be a romcom for you.
Don‘t you love that feeling of instant connection with a book?

If you want a cute Christmas romance, this is a good one for you. Devoured it in a few hours and now I feel warm and cozy.
Here's your #SnowedIn reading list @Laughterhp !!! I picked a mixture of books I was already planning to read in December and books that I've now added to my TBR 😂 I checked the tagged book out of the library last week and the librarian told me that I needed to hurry up and read it because when she saw it, she put it on reserve! 😆 Happy reading!!!
@PuddleJumper - thanks for organizing!!!
5 days ago my podcast co-host spoke so highly of Lovelight Farms in our cozy holiday reads podcast that I moved it up on my TBR list. Honestly, it may have knocked Christina Lauren's Josh & Hazel's Guide to Not Dating from my #1 favorite friends to lovers spot. So good!
I adore everything about this cover.

Not sure if I‘m cut out for fake dating stories - I was stressed over these two obliviously in love idiots 🤣
Most of the action takes place on a Christmas Tree farm but aside from that it‘s not that Christmassy - I think Thanksgiving gets mentioned more.
First romance I‘ve listened to at work - and I think I need to work on my poker face (pretty sure this would be classified as mild on the 🌶️ scale)
This was super cute. I loved the characters, the writing, the story. A few reviews said it was like a Hallmark movie and I found it to be quite a bit steamier than those...? I love how @erinachu said it - "just like a Hallmark Christmas movie with a bit more than I bargained for." It's written so well though and the characters so lovable, I got the other two books in the series and am diving into those. #bookspin #bookspinbingo

Book 6 of 2022 complete! ❤️ just like a hallmark Christmas movie, with a bit more than I bargained for.. 😅
4.5⭐️ This was a darling holiday story. Is it extremely predictable of course. What really matters is the book worth the trip and yes it is. Stella runs a small Christmas tree farm and her business is in a bit of trouble. She enters a social media contests to get more publicity and possibly win a $10,000 prize. However, she lies on her application and says that her and her longtime boyfriend bought, and run the place together. ⬇️
This was a sweet book. I enjoyed the friendship of the main characters and their love story. I'll definitely read the next books in this series.

"There‘s a special kind of magic on nights like this, a certain sort of nostalgia when the past intermingles with the present and flirts with the future."
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved this story. The writing was gorgeous, the characters real, the setting charming. This small town is a hoot and I can‘t wait to go back! I listened on #audio from #hoopla. #BookspinBingo #WinterReadathon @TheAromaofBooks @Andrew65 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES
This was the perfect read to start my winter break. It is an absolutely adorable holiday fake dating romance. Is there anything especially new here? No. Could I not stop listening and love the couple? Yes! If you are looking for a solid holiday read, definitely check this one out. 4.5⭐️

Next up on Kindle: a holiday romance with best friends who are fake dating to win a contest in order to save her Christmas tree farm.
I almost bailed in the first 13 minutes due to awkward/clumsy exposition, but gave it a pass because it might be a key feature of romance books. However, when the sherif threatened the love interest with a shotgun and the lady mc was happy about it I had to call it quits.
4.5/5
Stella has made a terrible mistake. When entering a contest to bring more publicity to her Christmas tree farm, she lied and said she co-owned the farm with her boyfriend. Now she and her best friend Luka have to pretend to be a couple to avoid being disqualified from the competition.
I rarely enjoy friends to lovers romances, but this one worked well. It was understandable why they never made a move to change their relationship before.
A little audiobook listening while rearranging my bookshelves now that the baby figured out the joy of pulling books off the bottom two shelves.
Small town crossed with Christmas feels; fake dating causing friends to lovers; witty banter mixed with laugh out loud moments.
This adorable romcom is a great start to the holiday reads! It gave me all the cozy feels that you want out of a holiday book. It even shows that family is what you make it! I'm looking forward to continuing this series!

This book made me so happy! I loved every single second of reading it. The setting is a Christmas tree farm and it features a friends-to-lovers fake relationship. I loved Stella and Luka, and their slow burn, and I can‘t wait to keep reading the series to see what happens with their friends (and farm co-owners) Layla and Beckett.
And with this, my Christmas seasonal reading begins!!🎄🎄🎄
Finally, we can review this on Litsy!! After reading several GREAT reviews (elsewhere, lol), I gave this book a shot and I‘m so glad I did! It was predictable in all of the best ways. While not my usual genre, I‘m a sucker for a love story and couldn‘t stop reading about Stella and Luka. I adored Luka from the getgo and easily understood and empathized with Stella. Layla, Beckett and Dane are very endearing characters. Book #78 in 2021
