Almost nine hours into @24in48 and I've only got four hours of audiobook done. I'm about to start A Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue, and I've gotta read another eight hours today to stay on track. Unfortunately I don't think that's gonna happen, but I'll do my best! #24in48

Yesterday I saw Spider-Man: Homecoming (for the second time!!) and then I went bookshelf shopping. The picture only has a small part of them, but I can fit so much more stuff into my new shelves! I'm so happy with them, and now I can go buy more books, because I no longer have to stack them on the floor 😏

I read this book in one sitting and I cried several time. I loved it so much - it was beautiful and hit home so hard on so many things. Even if you're not into poetry, I'd recommend giving this one a try.

The last weekend I started reading Giant Days from BOOM! Box. It's a comic about three best friends, and their lives going to university. I'm not 22 issues in, and I just love these characters so damn much 💜

(Also, why are some issues of Giant Days on here, and some aren't? It's really annoying)

I marathoned this series today, now that all issues are out. I didn't have high expectations, I thought it'd be kinda silly, but boy was I wrong. I ended up really loving it. It alternates between being fun and serious, it has bad ass characters, and reps a whole bunch of minorities. I highly recommend picking it up, so keep an eye out for the collection in a few months!

A must read for everyone. So fun and heartbreaking and important. Definitely earned a place amongst my favourite books.

I loved this book so much. It's cute, relatable, and very inclusive. I saw myself in the main character, Molly, so many times. I highly recommend The Upside of Unrequited to to anyone looking to wind down after reading too many heavy, long books.

Finished my re-read of this book last night, and just like the first time really really loved it. Honestly the best pitch I've heard for it is "it's about gay girls, pirates in the future, and sea monsters". Who does not what to read a book like that?! It's got it all!

So I'm gonna pretend I wasn't gone for three months, and just carry on like normal.

Done. Dirt. Cheap. So. Good.

This book is about girls and girl friendships and family and motorcycles. It's messy and captivating, and I highly recommend it!

This is a beautifully written book about embracing who you are, learning that letting people in isn‘t a weakness, and the power of family. We follow Miel and Sam, as they deal with their growing feelings for each other, the creepy Bonner sisters who always get what they want, and their individual struggles with family and identity.

#currentlyreading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

I finished Not Your Sidekick by C. B. Lee yesterday, so now I'm finally starting Six of Crows! I waited until I got around to reading the last Grisha trilogy book, and I did that earlier this week, so it's time. I'm so excited, I've heard pretty much only great things about this duology!

"Are they looking down on her, too? Looking down on her for not being fluent, not following procedure, not living up to her heritage, any of it. Jess often feels as if she's not Chinese enough in certain situations and not Vietnamese enough in others. It's awkward when you're not quite one but not quite the other."

Beautiful. Beautiful. BEAUTIFUL. That's the word that has been in my head all through reading this book. The writing, the story, the characters, the general aesthetic. While I was at times a bit confused and didn't understand (I blame this partly on English not being my first language), it was always overshadowed by how blown away I was.

Started reading this only a couple of days ago and I'm already more than halfway through. It's less than 300 pages, so that's not much on an achievement on my part, but after the endless A Game of Thrones this feeling is amazing!

This first volume was fun, full of breaking of the fourth wall and silly one liners. It was what I had expected when I picked it up. But towards the end it took an unexpected turn for a little while, and briefly dealt with Gwen's existence in this comic book world vs. the real world where she comes from. It was a welcome surprise that brought more depth to the book, and while I also had some problems with it, I will definitely read volume 2!

I've been reading this book for at least three weeks now and I still have 300 pages left. I'm starting to lose interest, I never have the patience for books this long. While I am determined to finish it, I think I'm gonna have to put it aside for a little while and read something else in between.

Last week's shipment to the comic shop I work at was late so I didn't get my copy of Paper Girls vol 2 until today 😭 but now I'm finally about to start reading one of my most anticipated comic releases of this half of 2016!

So this is my first try at litsy, we'll see how it goes and if I get into it. Thought it fitting that my first post should be one of my most anticipated 2016 releases!
