This book made me want to learn everything about Greek mythology.

Worthy follow up to The Shining. King just knows how make you want to keep reading.

Are there any other true crime books about cold cases that were then solved after publication of the book? It was the best part about this book, knowing this unknown monster finally had a face and a name. "...his power evaporates the moment we know him."

A good narrative is the key to any true crime masterpiece. And let me just say. This book has an amazing narrative.

Awesome! This was my first Sanderson book and I really enjoyed his style of epic fantasy. I'm so bummed that this series has only 1.5 entries, but I'm looking forward to reading his other series.

This book was so beautiful. It's the kind that you want friends and family to read, partly so you have somebody to talk about it with, but also because you genuinely want them to experience it. I felt that the fear and wonder of being a child was captured perfectly in the writing. The story made me feel safe and warm yet scared and insignificant all at once. A very very lasting read.

Sarene is definitely one of my favorite female characters ever.

Started this book today, it pulled me in so quickly!

I really like how this author uses different points of view from different characters throughout to build suspense. The museum storyline that these first two books focused on was awesome! Can't wait to read more Pendergast.

Does anybody else speed their audiobook up when they get to a really good part? It's like I get impatient waiting for the narrator.

After reading this one I am officially a Tana French fan. More Dublin Murder Squad please!

By the end of this book I despised the main character, and that's a compliment! He makes stupid decisions, then he has to deal with the consequences. The case itself was intriguing and I felt like I was solving it along with the two detectives. They make incorrect guesses/assumptions and follow leads that end up at dead ends, and you're right there along with them. By the end I felt like I had been chewed up and spit out, it was great!!!

I loved the way it was written! I was absorbed by all the characters and the way they interacted.

There were a few eye roll moments, but I really couldn't put it down!

Overall I liked it and am planning to read the second because I thought the premise sounded great.
