Hey Littens! Meet my student : Evan. Last year he discovered reading in a big way. This year he proudly carried this massive Scholastic order six blocks from his school to our Out of School Care without complaint. Just wanted to share a little something (with his parents' permission) about this future Litsy member who recently fell in love with reading.

pickJust finished this for book club and I was stunned by it. The narration was beautiful and unique. The shmultz was a little heavy in the final few chapters but not throughout which is impressive for a dog novel.
This year's reading resolution : to book end my days. I'm off to a good start.

Hey Kittens! I'm leaving for the UK on Thursday and I know I'm going to be hitting up a ton of used and new bookstores while I'm there. What should I pick up? I'm looking for books with cool/alternative UK covers and/or from British publisher's that are hard to get in North America.
This book is getting pretty dark and twisted. The narrator's voice is so cynical and broody and yet I'm not getting the Wuthering Heights I must put this down immediately feeling.
A new book, chai tea, and the You've Got Mail Soundtrack. I can think of no better way to spend a spare hour.

pickThis was my pick for Book Riot's Read Harder challenge of reading a book written by a south east Asian author. Overall it was a creepy and engaging book that taught me about a culture that I had little to no knowledge of before. The plot moved quickly and the characters all progressed believably.
