7 posts
Craft Beer World is the must-have companion for anyone who appreciates decent beer. The last few years have seen an explosion in the popularity of craft beers across the globe, with excellent new brews being produced everywhere from Copenhagen to Colorado, Amsterdam to Auckland. With more amazing beers available than ever before, it's hard to know which ones to choose. That's where Craft Beer World comes in. Gathering together over 300 of the most innovative and tastiest beers you need to try, and divided into 50 different catagories, you will find the best of the best each style has to offer. Every category comes with an explanation of the key characteristics of the style - whether it's an American IPA bursting with citrusy C-hops or an Imperial Stout full of dark roasted malts - along with an example of a classic brew and a selection of cutting edge versions that are certain to become instant favourites. So whether you're looking for bitter beers or balanced flavours, a hit of hops or a hint of coffee, the reviews will point you in the right direction to find the perfect beer to suit your tastebuds. Also included throughout the book are interesting nuggets of beer information, covering everything from the catalyst that has caused the astonishing growth in craft beer through to matching beer with food and how to serve your drinks.Mark Dredge is an award-winning beer writer and runs the popular blog Pencil and Spoon where he writes about anything ale-related. Mark has won awards from the British Guild of Beer Writers in 2009, 2010 and 2011, his work is featured in leading publications across the globe and he's an international beer judge.

Around since 1896 ! I‘m sad right now. A few weeks ago , their plan was to streamline and not try to distribute outside of California. Eliminate the Christmas Ale , now done .😭 https://www.sfgate.com/food/article/anchor-brewing-company-ceasing-operations-18...

SamAnne Was just reading the CNN story as I glanced down to my phone and looked at Litsy. Oh, a sad day indeed. 10mo

mandarchy I was so bummed to see this. This happened with Oly in Tumwater. The brewery just sits there now, derelict. It's so frustrating to have had a great employer and industry, part of our local identity swept away by greed. 10mo
dabbe It is one of the saddest things when a beloved place closes or a favorite product ceases to be produced (I'm talking to you, Burt's Bees and your grapefruit spray and Jo Malone with your Nutmeg and Ginger cologne!). 💙😢💚 10mo
mcipher So sad. We went there many years ago and loved our visit so much. Haven‘t seen their beers around OR at all but we drank them a lot in CT. :( 10mo
Leftcoastzen @dabbe it does sting! 10mo

Rare evening out without the little guys. Having a flight at our new local nano brewery with my awesome husband. No book with me, but I‘m wearing a bookish shirt. 👌🏻👌🏻 #booksandbrews

MicheleinPhilly You know that episode of Friends when they're in Vegas and Joey becomes obsessed with his identical "hand twin"? You and my wife are identical hand twins. Like freakishly so. 7y
britt_brooke @MicheleinPhilly 😆 So, she‘s a nail biter, too? 7y
MicheleinPhilly YEP! I am a reformed nail biter. ☺️ 7y

britt_brooke @MicheleinPhilly I almost didn‘t post this pic because it‘s so embarrassing. I‘ve stopped before, but fell off. Any tips?? 😬 7y
MicheleinPhilly None. I don't know how I did it, I just did. I still bite the skin around my nails though so I'm not exactly a good role model. 7y
britt_brooke @MicheleinPhilly I need to try again. Maybe this will motivate me! 😁💚 7y
Kappadeemom I wear my shirt all the time❤️❤️ (edited) 7y

Picked this beer up at my local bottle shop because I was feeling nostalgic- Foothills was my go-to brewery in grad school. Plus, the label and the description were 😍 Sidenote- Foothills is partnering with the local independent bookstore, Bookmarks, to open a shared space cafe/bar called Footnote. #toocute #bookishgoods #bookishthings https://blog.foothillsbrewing.com/2017/07/21/footnote-worthy/amp/

No reading right now because we have family that we haven't seen in several years visiting, but I'm drinking out of my bookish pint glass so that counts for something. 🍺👏🏻 Another Gose; this one is from a local Nashville brewery. It's decent. #booksandbrews

Shemac77 I should've sent you some of our craft beer in the boys' box! 7y
britt_brooke @Shemac77 Yes, haha!! 7y

After a long day at work I love coming home to read my book and watch new relationships blossom. Mistletoe makes for strange bedfellows! 😅 #BlackSwan craft beer meets #MakersMark Xmas decorations. I love the holidays for the most random reasons 🎄🍺⛄#loveisintheair #mistletoefun #oppositesattract
