pan2.2⭐️ I think I overhyped this one in my own mind because I was so disappointed at the end. While the concept of the story is intriguing, the execution is poorly done in my opinion. The story was super dry and I found it hard to connect with the character with how wordy the author was. Like he was trying to come off intelligent,but came off pretentious instead. this was my #bookspin for #bookspinbingo.

so-soI almost DNFed this one, and if I'd known the last ~1/4 would be written from a female point of view I would have. This particular author's voice speaking from the point of view of a woman gives me the creeps. The first 40% I quite enjoyed, but then the story shifts and is no longer interesting enough for me to put up with the frequent appearance of the "c" word for female anatomy. It becomes a damsel-in-distress tale, which isn't my thing.

so-soThis book is pure filth! Not your average Werewolf+Vampire teen drama story, this book is very adult. I was willing to do the series, but have decided not to now, I just don't care enough about the characters.
so-soI worked on this book for 5 months! I feel proud of myself that I didn't DNF it. The characters were lack luster and writing was just OK. I was not crazy about the plot either. ⭐⭐⭐

pickThis was really unique and fun. Scary and dark in some parts and other parts were just entertaining and well written. It ended well and had a great plot and offered something new to the supernatural genre.

so-soAt first I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It is literary and has interesting character development, which was not something I expected from a werewolf novel. But, after the love interest came into the picture the writing started to feel more contrived than literary (not to mention the excessive discussion of buttholes). I'm excited to dig into my other library picks though!
so-soI just finished audio-booking this one; maybe the tone was put in place by the reader. This book was so bleak and apathetic that I had a matching emotional response. The only points that weren't depressingly bleak, were unexpected manic phases of the main character. The book had several peaks and none of them were very compelling. At the end - no pay off and the acknowledgement that this book is just a prologue to book 2 in the series.
bailedEh, maybe one day I'll come back to this, but right now I'm not feeling what this werewolf is laying down.
