tessavi I usually have an ebook/ paperback going at the same time as an audiobook. But they do have to be different genres, otherwise it gets confusing 😅 7y

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda | Becky Albertalli

This book was a case of "I'll buy it but I won't read it for a few months" for me but when I eventually did read it I was very pleasantly surprised. Simon is such a wonderful character and my need to protect him is fierce. This book makes me feel so much and it makes me think very carefully about some the taken for granted things in my life. Thank you Becky Albertalli for a wonderfully thought provoking story!

Shadow Scale: A Companion to Seraphina | Rachel Hartman

After such a long time of trying and trying again to read and finish Shadow Scale. I've decided to DNF it... As much as I loved Seraphina this one just wasn't for me. It was so full of details and information and there things happening from all sides. I couldn't concentrate and I just couldn't immerse into the story.
Do you DNF books? If you do, do you ever feel guilty? Because i do.

tessavi I used to feel bad not finishing a book. Now I realize there are so many good books out there that I will never get to read, so forcing myself to finish something I don't enjoy is a waste of time. 7y

Aurys Hey, a fellow guilty reader! :) I always feel terrible putting down a book, which is probably why the only time I DNF a book is when I start having to force myself to read it. When reading the book isn‘t fun anymore, that‘s when you know it‘s time to stop! 7y

dreamsleepread @Aurys And that was exactly what I was feeling when I dropped it. It just felt more like a chore than actually reading a book so I knew I had to drop it. 😔 7y

Wild Magic | Tamora Pierce

This is perhaps one of my MOST FAVOURITE series EVER! ✨💕✨💕
It has a kick-ass female main character and also more kick-ass female side characters. The world itself is magical and vivid. There are gods, monsters, magic, espionage, battle and dragons!
I'm in love with the new covers! 😍😍🙈

The Name of the Wind: The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day One | Patrick Rothfuss

Captivating, engaging and intriguing. With characters and a magic system that heightens the story and reading experience.
While I found it difficult to get through at times (since the book is so big) I always went back to it. Definitely worth the hype it received in my opinion
