Crappy pic but this man is an American hero.
truth.
First time a graphic novel has made me cry...reflecting on what a different kind of inauguration it will be in 2017 and how much hope and pride I felt in 2009.
I was reading "Underground Railroad" pre-election. Had to take a break because it was heavy and our country is a little (a lot) scary. I ended up not reading anything most of the month. Happy for this book that was light but also reminds you that people can change and today can be different. I think I liked "Where Did You Go, Bernadette" more but this book landed in my lap right on time.
Amazing book. I can't get it out of my head. Seen with our best beach finds.
Spoiler alert - you have to love yourself well before you can love someone else.
Short and beautiful. Thinking a lot about resiliency and why some of us make it and some of us don't. Woodson breaks your heart and puts it back together in these 170 pages.
"our brokenness connects us" - oh how I loved this book.
Strolling with this cutie and listening to this great book
Emily Giffin always does a good job exploring complicated relationships between women. But I didn't particularly care for either of the main characters this go round.
