i just started reading american assassin by vince flynn and i'm not that far into it, just a couple chapters, but so far it seems promising. since i didn't get to see the movie due to being sick over the weekend i thought i could go ahead and start reading the book.

i read the siren when it first released and enjoyed it, not as much as i was hoping for but it was a good and easy read and really fast paced. plus, it's about sirens so that's cool, and there's a love story and it's just overall interesting with how the story goes.

this started out slow to me and seemed to just jump into the plot of things but i loved it! i loved getting to know all the blackthorn children and emma carstairs. i loved the many different ships, the ones that took me by surprise and the one that i've been rooting for since i've read CoHF. this went above expectations! especially those last few chapters.

so, i was going to wait to watch the movie until after i read the book, but it was right there for the taking so we watched it and i really enjoyed it! it was a bit different than i expected but i liked it. especially that emma watson was mae, she played the part great. has anyone seen this movie or read the book?

i figured it was about time i start the dark artifices, it's been actually milking me to not know anything as be in the dark. i'm so glad to finally jump into the shadowhunters world and revisit old characters while focusing on newer characters. ➰

in the beginning i was really enjoying this book and would've rated it 4/5, but after 3/4 of the way through i started to not enjoy it as much, the cheesiness was becoming too much for me, i guess.

i related so much to cath, not so much on the family part, only partly, but i felt like we could've been the same person. she writes fan fiction and she delved into fandoms, she had a bit of social anxiety and she felt as though she couldn't trust anyone for the longest time. i loved levi, he was such a sweetheart and always entertaining. i love that he was so into cath's fan fiction and supported it.

i pre-ordered this book the minute i heard that it was about alexander hamilton and elizabeth schuyler. i fell in love with the way eliza and alex fell in love. i loved that it took time for eliza to see him for who he really was and to appreciate him. i loved getting to know more about the schyuler family. i couldn't stop reading until i finished the book, it was so good!
