A very good book, although I would have liked more about the White House and less about her sexual escapades

Infuriating, cringeworthy, frustrating but oh so good

This was my first time reading a book by this Author and won‘t be my last. Beautifully written yet simple and uncomplicated.

I‘m not always one for memoirs but this book was beautifully written. A sometimes harrowing read, filled with tears and sadness, joy and laughter.

This is a hard one to review. For me it was a very slow read, it wasn‘t one I could just pick up and read snippets here and there, it required time to get back into the story. That being said I very much enjoyed this book, it‘s beautifully written and a fantastic, emotional, endearing, sad story

A Long Time Gone | Karen White

As I started this book I honestly thought it was a bit slow for my liking however I ended up loving this book. It‘s not a big blockbuster of a book, a bit more of a slow burn. Karen White always writes a book that makes me feel like I‘m right there with the characters.

This was just ok for me. I didn‘t enjoy it as much as her previous books. As a whole the story didn‘t work for me, I found the characters a bit boring and a little ridiculous. Not horrible but not her best work

Where do I begin? This novel is so many things, compelling, poignant, uncomfortable to read at times, joyous, sad, I could go on and on. Do yourself a favour and grab this book, a cup of tea and a snuggly blanket and enjoy the ride

I struggled with this book from the first chapter, I decided to push through and quite frankly it didn‘t get any better for me. I felt zero connection to any of the characters, and while I did finish there wasn‘t much to keep the pages turning for me

I‘m somewhat conflicted on this novel, It has everything I love in a book but it just didn‘t click for me. To be fair I had a lot going on this week and maybe I didn‘t give it the full attention it deserved. I did enjoy it but it wasn‘t necessary a page turner for me. I rated it a pick because I do think it‘s worth reading. I am sure there are many people who will love this novel

Lucinda Riley quickly became one of my favourite authors when I stumbled upon her a couple of years ago. I just become lost in every book of hers I‘ve read.

This book was just ok for me, I enjoyed the beginning and read through it quite quickly but as time went on it just kinda fell flat for me.

I wish I could say I enjoyed it but the truth is I couldn‘t even finish it. I just couldn‘t get interested in any of the characters, I never felt myself getting engaged in any part of the book. I made it half way and gave up 😞
