A pretty decent follow up to Throne of Glass. The dog seemed to like it too!

Enjoyable story - good characters and well paced.

Having seen the film a million times I thought I knew the story of Jurassic Park... but the book was even better.

Just about to finish this - it was a bit slow in places but ultimately very good.

This was a great book and I couldn't put it down, though there were one or two annoying plot points that could have easily been fixed. However nothing bad enough to stop me from reading the sequel!

This had its dark moments but for a zombie story, it wasn't particularly scary. More about how monsters can find a way to be good again #AllHallowsRead #notsoscary @Litsy

MaleficentBookDragon I just got the prequel and sequel. I'm hoping to read them this month. I loved the movie too. 7y

I've read the first 3 books in this series, and my only criticism is that they're far too long! With each one I've lost steam at around 600 pages, gone and read something else, then returned. I just can't stop reading about Jamie and Claire!

This was brilliant! Magical and engaging with a good mix of male and female characters. Fans of the Tales of the Otori saga will love reading about the origins of the Tribe. Can't wait for book two! Highly recommended.

I love this book, its laugh out loud funny but with tragic moments peppered throughout. Uncle Matthew might just be one of my favourite literary characters. I would have liked to see a book just about him and his exploits!

I loved this - as a lover of classical civilisations I really found myself immersed in the lives of the students and suitably disturbed by their obsessive ways. I really felt for the main character, Richard, who tries his best to fit in with the group but ultimately realises how far they are prepared to go for their love of Ancient Greek culture... https://awritersnotebookblog.wordpress.com/2013/05/12/recommended-reads-the-secr...

I found the first half of this really slow, and I almost gave up waiting for the lie tree to actually make an appearance! But the second half really improved and it turned into a great book.

This is possibly my all time favourite book. I wrote a review of it a while ago... https://awritersnotebookblog.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/recommended-reads-cloud-at...

Short and sweet, a perfectly chilling supernatural story.

This was so much better than I anticipated! Different enough for it not to be just another fantasy novel.

Exciting and suspenseful. Looking forward to book two!
