A Very Special Snowflake is a RF book written by Don Hoffman. This book is about a pair of siblings and their new dog, Snowflake. Snowflake has white fur, just like the color of the snow outside! When the kids take Snowflake outside, he blended with the snow, and they couldn't find him! They went to each person in the neighborhood to ask if they had seen Snowflake, but each person thought that they were asking about the snow, not their dog!

Goodnight Moon is a classic RF book written by Margaret Wise Brown. Goodnight Moon is a modern fantasy, specifically an animal fantasy, about a rabbit who says goodnight to everything in his room before he goes to sleep. This book would be best taught as a read aloud. When reading this book, you can teach students about rhyming. Each time there is a rhyme in the book, the students stand up! Madeline Finn and the Library Dog is a cute RF book about a girl overcoming her fear of reading. In this book, Madeline Finn doesn't like to read especially not out loud. She's let down after never getting a star, but instead, stickers that just say keep trying. Madeline goes to the library when the librarian has her read to a dog named Bonnie! Madeline loved reading to Bonnie, especially since she wasn't afraid to make a mistake in front of her!

Goodnight IPad is a "parody for the next generation". It's based on Margaret Wise Brown's Goodnight Moon. This book is a RF about a kid who lives with many electronics. When it's time to go to bed, the old lady takes each electronic away one by one, until all they're left with is a book, which just so happens to be Goodnight Moon! This book would be great to teach as partner work. Students will be given both Goodnight IPad, and Goodnight Moon.

Hair Love has to be one of the cutest books that I've read! This RF novel was written by Matthew A. Cherry, and went on to not only become a short film, but win an Oscar for best animated short film! This book is about a dad who does his daughters hair for the very first time. It's an amazing book that people love for its diversity!
