Definitely a fun fantasy read. It may have been a while since I‘ve read it, but I wanted to start my profile sharing some of my favorites. This is more of a fun fantasy adventure following a kobold with a can-do attitude. I love the cast of characters the castle has. It‘s certainly a refreshing read in a genre full of epic heroes/heroines. For a kobold she feels very relatable and I love following her journey.

Didn't love this one, but it's not really my type of story. Feels like you're playing a D&D campaign, so I'd still recommend it to people that like that kind of thing 😂

Some of the funniest sci-fi/fantasy everrr

#ScaryFebruary #Curse

MatchlessMarie I will have to check it out. I hardly read sci fi or fantasy but am trying to get into it this year! 2y
RamsFan1963 I've loved all of A. Lee Martinez's books. I think The Nameless Witch is my favorite. 2y
TheBookgeekFrau @MatchlessMarie Me too, but I was looking for something different and found myself in the sci-fi section and discovered A. Lee Martinez' books. I highly recommend! 2y
TheBookgeekFrau @RamsFan1963 I haven't read that one yet. And I'm glad bc I think reading some more Martinez is just what I need to get out of the reading slump I'm in. Out of the ones I have read, I think favorite has to go to Divine Misfortune--the antics of misbehaving gods had me rolling 😂 2y
MatchlessMarie @TheBookgeekFrau That sounds great 😂 2y

Trying to read two "at home" books for the first time. The other book is a reread of "A Natural History of Dragons". #fantasy #tbrlist

Fun, quick read. I can really relate to the main character, not so much because I'm a dog-like animal but because worrying is my job. I also like things to be organized, although I don't have the level of energy that Nessy has. The story has a lot of magic and a little quirky humor in it - a win all around, I'd say. I'm going to look for other books by this author.

I'm supposed to be working on a side project for work or even completing chores like dishes but I decided to read instead. This another good book for those who want something October that's not scary. It has an evil wizard, lots of cursed beings, a castle with a soul of its own, a mysterious door, among other things.
