I'm feeling festive 🎃
Reading this for my Forms of Literature class. The theme: Women in Horror. Going to be interesting.
I loved this, it‘s so rare for an academic book to be this engaging and it really stands up to modern reading for a book from the 90s - current terminology to describe transgender people aside, but that‘s something where preferred terms in 1992 were v different to now. I feel like I learned SO much and have a lot I need to watch!

This is one I‘m surprised I‘ve never read in its entirety before. I‘m sure I came across bits of it in university, but that was longer ago than I care to admit. I‘m finding the book a bit dated, but given it lines up with and informs so much else I read and watch, I consider it a must read.
I‘m here for the feminist horror, but the location is an unmarked building in a sketchy neighborhood. I‘m beginning to worry that it‘s going to turn into live performance art ....
#Riotgrams Day 29: #AFavouriteHobby I spend a lot of my time watching films and writing about them, so here are some of my film book collection.
