Rose, a foundling brought home as the heir at Love Hall, is raised as a girl, but is really a boy. Enter shenanigans of inheritance problems, familial strife, and sexual fluidity. It‘s long one, but it‘s worth reading - fun, has some twists, gets puzzling and philosophical. (The middle got a little weird.) Enjoyed it!
This book has been on my shelf for a while. 🤦🏼♀️ Still haven‘t read it. I figure I‘ll get to it some day. 😬😬 The price sticker tore the cover and I find that super annoying!! Also, this tea was disgusting. It was some kind of berry nonsense.. I‘ll stick with earl grey.

Not a huge month for me, but October is the height of cross country season. With both kids running, I have been to a lot of meets and done too much driving! Also, I'm 470 pages into The Mysteries of Udolpho, so next month will be padded!! 🤣😂
pickA 500-page romp in early 19th century England, featuring a boy foundling raised as a girl heir. Wordplay, goofiness, rich snobs, books, and intrigue all come together--and it wraps up neatly at the end. I kind of feel like I need to read it again to catch the details in the appendix! #192019 #2005
Because I need to be reading another book. My husband picked this up at the library and asked me to read it. The author is aka the musician John Wesley Harding. The first 25 pages are good!

The #readjanuary prompt today is a book published in the 2000s. I read this back in '06 and I count it as one of my favorite books. I looked it up on Goodreads and was surprised by the negative reviews. Perhaps a reread is in order a decade on. The author even recorded an album based on this book, and a couple of the songs still pop up in my iTunes playlist.
