Chocolate Thief
Chocolate Thief | Laura Florand
10 posts | 10 read | 21 to read
Paris Breathtakingly beautiful, the City of Light seduces the senses, its cobbled streets thrumming with possibility. For American Cade Corey, it's a dream come true, if only she can get one infuriating French chocolatier to sign on the dotted line. . . Chocolate Melting, yielding yet firm, exotic, its secrets are intimately known to Sylvain Marquis. But turn them over to a brash American waving a fistful of dollars? Jamais. Not unless there's something much more delectable on the table. . . Stolen Pleasure Whether confections taken from a locked shop or kisses in the dark, is there anything sweeter? Praise for Laura Florand and her novels "Charming and laugh-out-loud funny."--"New York Times" bestselling author Deborah Smith "Readers will be happy to live vicariously in Laura's French fairytale." "Booklist" "Frothy, French confection of a novel."--"Publishers Weekly" "Both sensual and sweet. . .a story that melts in your mouth!" "USA Today" bestselling author Christie Ridgway"

She lusted after everything he produced and owned so intensely and sinfully. Surely she must lust after him. Never in his life had he felt so #positive of that. And yet, driven by some old, stupid weakness of his, he had still held back far too long, just in case she wanted to escape. #QuotsyJune19

I need to catchup on #RomBkLove posts. I‘m already behind! (Also, I used the wrong hashtag in my original posts 🤦🏻‍♀️ but updated them all!)

Day 4 was Foodie and while I feel like I‘ve tried many a restaurant/chef romances, I haven‘t actually made it through many that I can think of.

The tagged was recommended and though it‘s been a while since I‘ve read it, I remember a prickly H and a determined h which made for the best kind of tension.

My favorite books #SetInFrance are the ones written by @LauraFlorand because they have such a strong sense of place, it kind of feels like you're on a vacation with her characters while you were reading. The Chocolate Thief is the first in her Amour et Chocolat series - Paris, chocolates and hot guys who make specialty desserts. What's not to love?

I made my way through Florand's entire Amour et Chocolat series last month which begins with this book, which has plenty of #bickerandbanter

The subtitle for this entire series should be "Kind of insta-lovey but with so many descriptions of chocolate, Paris, and adorable Frenchmen, you won't care." ?

Fancy chocolates always remind me of Laura Florand's Amour et Chocolat series. Venchi has become a recent favorite when I feel like treating myself to nice chocolates. Their gianduja dark chocolate, cremino and earl grey dark chocolate are SO GOOD. This plus a Japanese brand called Royce are my favorites. What's your fave chocolate brand?

Pruzy The Polish chocolate company E. Wedel most definitely! 8y
Chachic @Pruzy I've never tried that brand! Would definitely try it if I see it here in Singapore. 8y
Pruzy @Chachic Ooh, Singapore. I heard the food is great there! 8y

Chachic @Pruzy Yep! So many excellent choices of different cuisines. 8y
Larkken I'll eat any chocolate bar in Europe, but in the US I stick with giardelli and Trader Joe! I'll have to look for these, now... 8y
Chachic @Larkken Oh yeah, chocolates in Europe are so good! I like Ghirardelli too, the mint one and the salted dark chocolate. I hope you're able to find Venchi where you are.😁 8y

When you give the kids apples and keep the chocolate all to yourself. 👦🏻👶🏻🍎💁🏻🤷🏻‍♀️🍫❤

britt_brooke I love everything about this. 8y
Books_Wine_Repeat @britt_brooke 😉 I told my hubby the kids were too engrossed in their movie to notice. Neither of them even glanced my way. You snooze you lose, boys! Muahaha. 😛😈🍫 8y

It's #Recommendsday and my picks are the first two Amour et Chocolat books by Laura Florand. This is one of my absolute favorite romance series. Delicious chocolates, hot guys and Paris... what's not to like? Plus it has such beautiful and intelligent writing.💖 Can't recommend it enough! I just got these back from a previous co-worker who borrowed them, and have passed them on to a current co-worker to read.

MeganB This is such a gorgeous photo! ❤️ 8y
Chachic @MeganB Aww, thanks! Those were pictures I took when I traveled to Paris. They're displayed on my work area.😊 8y
MeganB You took them?? I'm SO impressed!! 8y
Chachic @MeganB Yep, with a toy film camera and using slide film that was later cross-processed. It's called lomography.😄📷 I have a mini lomography wall in my work area. 8y
