The 12 Colours of December -- 16th

Cranberry Red -- I'll have to pick up The Devil Wears Prada again, for thrift shop chances. My mom had borrowed it, and tossed the 1st book in thrift boxes again, during our move in 2018. Both of these books are TBRs for me. I've sure seen The Devil Wears Prada movie a few times. 👠

We get to meet up with Emily & Andy again about 5 years after they left Runway. They‘ve started & successfully run their own magazine; which now attracts Miranda‘s eye, as a leader in a magazine conglomerate...and the fun begins

Ohh, so that‘s what happened with Andi and Emily 10 years after surviving Miranda Priestly! As a stand-alone book, this would likely be a so-so of a read, but it was fun to have an update to the original story. Ande is much less whiney in the update.

This was a 200-page book in a 400-page book‘s clothing.

Book 3 for #14books14weeks

I took a library lunch break today and walked around the building to get in some #BFC steps - and I came across this random doll leg. Perfect photo op! 😆

twohectobooks This feels like the beginning of a cozy mystery novel. 5y

krayoncolorz The mystery of the missing leg 🦵😂 5y
mcipher @wanderinglynn @krayoncolorz @twohectobooks So one of us needs to write this now... 5y
wanderinglynn Oh wait, if it‘s a cozy, it needs a punny title. Maybe Legs Left Behind? (Okay that‘s terrible, but in my defense, I‘m exhausted.) 😂 5y
krayoncolorz @wanderinglynn I think you‘re on to something there! 😆 5y
okthislooksbad That is the most distracting leg I have ever seen. I need the story of how it ended up there 😂 5y

⭐⭐ 1/2 / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not nearly as good as the original, and predictable, but a worthless piece of fluff that works well as a mindless beach read.

This was just okay- not particularly funny or charming. The Devil Wears Prada didn‘t really need a sequel.

I really think my main problem here is that I just don't like Andy. I like the story. I don't like Andy.

#candycolouredcovers ♥️ I didn't get any cinnamon candies this year, but then I feel less interested in burning my tongue as much as I did, back when 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time' was big for video game memories. - I'm looking to read the Prada books by this summer. #fiestyfeb

I don't like this book that much but feel compelled to read it because it is the sequel to a book I've read.

This was about what I expected, so I'm surprised by the many negative reviews. Maybe the scenery influenced my take on it...

I picked this book up a few months ago at the BN bargain table. I loved The Devil Wears Prada so naturally had to snatch this up. Admittedly, I bought this before I read Chasing Harry Winston (by the same author), a book I found to be shallow and boring. My hopes for this book have dimmed somewhat.

I liked this book a lot more than I expected! It came at the right time for me--weird, busy week and lots of serious books lately. A nice escape to read here and there.

Time to relax in the bath with some chick lit! Not sure about this one so far but only about half way through so we'll see how it goes.
