Home today due to a snow day- the falling flakes outside my window are lulling me to sleep. Trying to catch up on posts. For this past Sunday‘s #HyggeHour, I did not read but used the tagged cookbook to make a pot of Jane Brody‘s chili,which warmed up the kitchen. Add chicken wings & corn muffins & we enjoyed our usual Super Bowl Sunday. The hygge was in the cooking with love.

One of those days: left my wallet home so could not pay hairdresser or do planned errands; (20 minutes from my house so not quick to go home & come back); forgot to get emission testing so now pay late fee, refrigerator died, so mad scramble to fill cooler, send food to neighbor. To combat negativity:cook healthy dinner, drink a glass of wine, chat with hubby. Now off to read and bed. As they say, tomorrow is another day
#photoadaynov16 #cookbooklove @RealLifeReading inherited both cookbooks when I met my husband. Jane Brody's book is 1985 addition- still using it after 25 yrs of marriage. Madhur Jaffrey's book also a household staple.Both well worn; well loved! Emmy had to interrupt & be part of the photo! 😺
