Every Saturday at 11am you can find us at Barnes and Noble for story-time and activities. Passing my love for book onto my kids is something that is important to me. Today Lincoln invited one of his friends to storytime to celebrate Dr. Seuss birthday which is March 2nd. So fun, and I think it‘s safe to say that I think Lincoln really does enjoy books!!!! ❤️❤️😍📚

Kshakal This makes my heart happy!! 7y

mommamatch My daughter- also a book lover - was born on March 2. Her favourite book as a toddler - Green Eggs and Ham. I used to be able to recite it by memory. 7y

This is my one and only book that is #notinenglish. It was purchased during one of my many attemots at improving my Spanish. My son loves for me to read it to him despite that he doesn't understand the words. The pics are enough to understand the story and I think he just enjoys the verbal gymnastics. I do have several bilingual books I've read since which were slightly more helpful. #seasonsreadings2016 @RealLifeReading

I just want to point out that "Snow Spots" is not actually a problem, and Sally's whiny brother (whom his parents correctly did not consider worthy of a name of his own) should have been relieved that the spot was out of the house. Chill out, Sally's brother. Now you're just instigating the cats.

SharonGoforth I have to say, this book holds a special place in my heart because it was the one that hooked me on reading as a kid, and I haven't stopped. I never bothered to analyze it, just accepted it as a wacky story 😊 9y
Sarahr875 Haha I've always thought that about the snow spot. But in the end, it does get them to clean up all the snow. 9y
Sarahr875 Eek. I should have made a spoiler alert for that last comment. I apologize for ruining the ending 9y

Yossarian @Sarahr875 That's okay. You didn't reveal that the method of "cleansing" appeared to be a nuclear explosion -- splitting the catom. 9y
MAESTROvonBOOKSTEIN Does Seuss ever allude to nuclear Armageddon? Serious question. #notserious 9y
Yossarian I think he saw nuclear energy as a utopian non-polluting "clean energy." What nuclear fusion is, we never will know/ but one thing I can tell you it sure cleans up snow! @MAESTROvonBOOKSTEIN 9y
Ukulelebob Nuclear energy is like the best of times and the worst of time. Best of time being clean efficient energy, worst of time explosions and cancer. 9y
Yossarian @Ukulelebob I think it's a sign of the time. Ads in the 1950's would also use "chemical" with an entirely positive connotation. "Nuclear" was the same way. 9y
Brandilarsen I'd like to defend the desire to clean up snow spots. If I had left my two small children home alone for an afternoon while I went shopping, I'd be upset if the snow that I told them to clean up had turned pink. 9y
Yossarian @Brandilarsen I think if the answer is, "because while you left us, we were harassed by a naked cat who bathed in front of us and made a mess," that might reflect more on your childcare technique than the children's snow coloring behavior. 9y
Bookgirl This is awesome. Now please review Green Eggs and Ham because there is definitely something sinister about green eggs! 9y
Yossarian @Bookgirl Have you ever seen "In Search of Dr Suess" with Kathy Nijimy? That version of Green Eggs and Ham scared the crap out of me! 9y
Bookgirl @Yossarian Profoundly disturbing! That might even be more terrifying than clowns. 9y
