pickThe first novella is a tale of obsession, the kind all pro athletes must have to excel at that level. Of course, it‘s King, so that obsession isn‘t just about being a good catcher.
The second story is even darker, pondering morality and the basis of it. Neither Blockade Billy nor Morality is King‘s greatest work, but they‘re worth the two hours or so I spent with them.

pickShort novella which is also included in his short story collection Bazaar of Bad Dreams. Good solid King story. Also included a short story called Morality which reminded me a lot of that old movie Indecent Proposal.
pickWhile some may read just another story with a murder, I live Stephen King‘s ongoing conclusions that evil is spawned from real world problems and desperation. It may take the form of supernatural occurrences in some of his novels but the root is always a social commentary on the world we live in and how we treat each other.
Well folks, it‘s the same old song and dance. There was a book sale. I went, I saw, I conquered. As usual I didn‘t need these and yes that is an enormous pile of library books behind this new enormous pile of books. Oh well, at least I‘m in good company here 😊

pick3⭐ I enjoyed this book, though at first I wasn't a fan of the first person reminiscing style, but it grew on me and the story sucked me in. In true King fashion, there is a twist. A light, quick read.
This was part of my library's June picks and since reading a #sportsstory is on of the #readharder challenges, I'm giving it a try. I didn't realize it would be a first person account, though, and I'm not sure this will be a book for me. But I'm going to finish anyway!
#stephenking17 Day 12 This is my #leastfavoritebook so far. I'm not really much of a baseball (or any sports) fan so that had a lot to do with it.
