Traveling south always makes me nostalgic for this sweet series about a Episcopalian priest in North Carolina. Since we were in the Georgia islands last week I returned to this one which has our preacher filling in on the coast.

My wild Friday night continued
Friday in the couch with a warm blanket and a cat.
This is book 5 of Jan Karon‘s lovely Mitford series.

Still a good series. This is the 1st book with significant errors. Maybe the proof person or editor was snoozing. Many new characters were introduced as Father Tim & Cynthia move to Whitecap. A handful of times the wrong character name was in a sentence.... If the author is confused about who is present and talking, I definitely am cutting myself some slack on keeping them all straight!!😊
Father Tim is technically retired but has made himself available for interim ministering in other towns. He and Cynthia head to Whitecap Island, but find themselves now shepherding 2 communities—friends/fam in Mitford depend on them too...

Father Tim and Cynthia go to an island community where he fills in as an interim preacher after his retirement from Lord's Chapel. As much as I didn't enjoy leaving Mitford, Jan Karon still delivered a pleasant read about the provincial life of a Episcopalian priest in North Carolina with a little beachy action.
