Was so looking forward to this book, but after 45% in with approximately 4 hours of reading left to go, my hope was gone. Too much repetitive political speculation without the plot moving forward. On to the next!

ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled @GrilledCheeseSamurai I didn‘t read the other books first, so that may be part of the problem. It wasn‘t bad - I just gradually lost interest and other shiny, new books were calling to me. 6y

Diving into this one soon! I keep thinking I don‘t read fantasy, then keep being drawn to fantasy books. 🤷‍♀️ Can‘t wait to start this!

#ToughTuesday. My tough day consists on deciding when to bail on a book (Deathless) and deciding when to buy a book so you can take your time reading it, because it is over 600 pages long and you have 9 other library books to read (Sins of Empire). And you are getting stressed out! I took the plunge and bought it on ThriftBooks. #AwesomeAutumnBooks

I really loved this book. It is the start of a new series in the Powder Mage universe and it is even better than the original series. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
