Finished my first book of 2020! Read about half of this last year and finished this year!

This book was a great space adventure. It‘s about a crew who is on the run searching for a mystery ship from the war years. And their journey is not what they are expecting. This book has firefly feels with magic. I like the world and magic system in this book. Such a great book!

Decided to use for my #Covercrush prompt for #Booked2020

LoverOfLearning Love the cover! 3w

Here is my January TBR. Most of the books are for #NewYearWhoDis - I haven‘t picked up my library books and my B&N package hasn‘t been delivered yet, so I couldn‘t take a picture of my stack.

The tagged book is for the #HeReadSheReadPodcast buddy read
The Spy is for #LMPBC
Jane Eyre for #Classicschallenge2020
Lisa Jewell for #BOTMBacklist
#BBBBC - rollover

Reviewsbylola I‘ve got to get started on #newyearwhodis. It will make up most of my January reading. 3w
JenlovesJT47 Hey, how do I join the Agatha Christie club? I coincidentally am at the same point in my reading so it‘s perfect timing! 3w
Laughterhp @JenlovesJT47 I would just periodically check @ferskner ‘s page. It‘s very unofficial. I think there is a monthly discussion post, but I didn‘t see one for December. 3w

JenlovesJT47 Thank you! 🤗 3w
ferskner @Laughterhp @JenlovesJT47 I'm so excited you want to join! I've traveling internationally for two weeks, but I'll post the questions when I get back early next week. I haven't had time to think about the book at all. 3w
JenlovesJT47 @ferskner thank you! I hope you‘re having fun on your trip 🤗 3w

The last book I‘ll read this year is probably The Big Ship At The Edge of the Universe for #BBBBC. If I finish it, I think my first book of the year will be The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell.

However, I will probably change my mind on the 1st book of the year because it‘ll depend on my mood. 😊

Thanks for doing this @BookNAround #lastfirst

BookNAround I‘m still waiting to see if I finish my current book before I decide too. 😉 4w

My copy of the #BBBBC pick came in.

Has anyone started it yet?

Life continues to be hectic on my end, and I really apologize for not being as active as I used to be. I find I have very little energy to do much other than draw and play the occasional video game.

DuckOfDoom This has been waiting a couple of months on my shelf. I really look forward to reading it, the blurbs on the back were cool and I read the first couple of pages before I bought it. 2mo
InLibrisVeritas @DuckOfDoom I hope you enjoy it when you pick it up! I am excited to dig in, I just need to find a bit of time 2mo

This was really great, just what I needed now. Great world building, characters, and a twisty-turny plot with a real climax. It is a bit slow starting, but from about halfway it is a real page turner. There is still plenty left that is still unexplained, so onto the next one! Took me out of my reading slump. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

cjk One of my favorite fantasy trilogies. 😍 3mo

Here are the first set of discussion questions.

I am really trying to get everything taken care of, but I ask for patience. My father in law passed away over the weekend, and I have been working longer hours at work.

phatsallylee 1) audio 2) Prince Rurisk 3) i think it isolated him and stunted his ability to successfully interact with others. 3mo
TheSpineView So so sorry for your loss.💔 3mo
Crazeedi Sending you a litsyhug, and my deepest sympathies, stay strong❤❤❤ 3mo
imyril Oh gosh, my best wishes to you and the family. 3mo
Caroline2 I am so sorry. 💐 3mo
Angeles Sorry for your loss. 3mo
Angeles I enjoyed the book because it is such a page turner but going back over it i liked it less the second time around. I am not sure why. I read the book rather than doing the audio 3mo
CoffeeK8 I‘m so sorry for your loss 3mo
InLibrisVeritas @Angeles I can understand that, I rarely reread books for the fear of that exact thing happening. I'm glad you still enjoyed it despite that though. 3mo
daena I am so sorry to hear of your loss, my condolences to you and your family. 3mo
daena I absolutely loved the book and did both audio and physical copy. I plan on continuing to read the series. 3mo
InLibrisVeritas @daena Thank you ❤ I'm so glad you loved it! It's definitely a series I want to continue as well! 3mo
TheSpineView I loved this book too!💜 I have already read the 2nd one and will continue on. I liked some of the characters but I was not drawn to any of them. I think Fritz could have been so much more had been given the chance. Yet, in ways he was a better person for not growing up privileged. 3mo
Gezemice I am so sorry for your loss. Sending you my deepest sympathies. 3mo
Gezemice I have just finished it and loved it! @daena @TheSpineView I am going to read on, too! There is plenty to be left to explore, we only scratched the surface of The Skill, The Wit, and the mysterious repell thing that I am not sure if is a third thing or not. It was a page-turner and I loved the doublecrossings at the end. 1. I did text mostly but had audio as well when I was doing chores. (edited) 3mo
Gezemice 2. The characters are well described but we don‘t really get too close to them, this is mostly plot driven. I wonder why Burrich has such a distaste for The Wit - there is something in his past. 3. I think his closeness to Burrich and animals is why his upbringing was in the stables and it might not have been an accident. 3mo
wordslinger42 I'm so sorry for your loss 💜 I'll be praying things get better soon 2mo

I have started reading my #scififantasybookclub read, and I got visitors. I got them to model my book :)

The white furry one is one of my our rabbits, Gwen. We have her sister, too, who is black - Midna. They are only four months old but are growing like crazy! The other visitor is my daughter :)

#bunniesoflitsy #bbbbc
Edit: the mess is my husband‘s. Mine‘s got books in it.

Clare-Dragonfly Aww! Cozy bun! 🐰 3mo
Gezemice @Clare-Dragonfly Yes! And very soft :) 3mo

Reading a variety of things recently and wanted to share. I should be reading for #bbbbc and #lotrbuddyread but picked up Year One instead 🤦‍♀️ On the nonfiction side though, I‘m quickly making progress through friendfluence and recently started the Ryder Carroll book because I want to start getting into bullet journal for the new year 😍 What are you guys all reading?

#audiobook #nonfiction #mpls #twincities

Crimson613 Oh wow! I didn't know there were books on bullet journaling :00 I'm reading manga right now for a readathon but I'm hoping to pick up more nonfiction books after this, the banes of my reading existence ^^;; 3mo
Schnoebs @Crimson613 you can get a book on anything, that‘s why I love nonfiction so much lol. My go tos are usually science or memories but I always end up reaching for something different every other month or so 3mo
Crimson613 @Schnoebs Niiiice! I wish I was more into science! But it's hard to understand, altho I think psychology and brain stuff is cool. I guess I'm more into history and just random things I'm into at the time xD but it's hard to really keep my interest T_T 3mo
