Purgatory Road
Purgatory Road | Samuel Parker
1 post | 3 read | 1 to read
When a day trip out of Las Vegas with his wife takes a turn for the worse, Jack is sure that he has the ability to get them home. But he drove into something far beyond reason. Rescue comes in the form of a desert hermit, but hope fades as the couple comes to realize that the nomad has no intention of letting them leave. A chance encounter with a kidnapped runaway and her crazed abductor leads them all farther into the wilderness--and closer to the cold brutality that isolation brings. At the edge of his sanity, Jack begins to learn that playing by another's rules may be the only way to survive. In a voice that is as hypnotizing as a desert mirage, debut novelist Samuel Parker entices readers down a dangerous road, where the forces of good and evil are as crushing as the Mojave heat. This is suspense in its purest, most unfiltered form.

Hi everyone!👋I‘m slowly climbing out of a pit of misery with a few rereads & audiobooks. For 8 weeks I‘ve been going through pharma hell with my oh so shortsighted government pulling the pin on an essential med that for a lot of Aussies is the only option for pain relief & has meant going thru the hell of switching to a greatly inferior substitute. Doing anything was a nightmare, even concentrating on reading. Lucky I had this imp to distract me🩵

Chelsea.Poole Sorry you‘re going through it! What a cute distraction though 🤍 6mo
Tamra 🙁 sending better vibes 6mo

Lizpixie @TEArificbooks Chronic pain is the single worst symptom of my condition. It just grinds you down, day after day, for 26yrs, and that‘s on top of everything else that comes with my disease. Then the government screws me over just to make my life that much worse. You just know they‘ve never dealt with pain in their life. Fucking bureaucrats!😡 6mo
Lizpixie @LeeRHarry thanks lovely, it means a lot. And coincidentally my signed edition of The Blackbird Oracle came yesterday and I‘m currently at chapter 11🐦‍⬛🙌 6mo
LeeRHarry @Lizpixie oooh looking forward to your thoughts when you‘ve finished. 😊 6mo
