Prelude to Foundation
Prelude to Foundation | Isaac Asimov
For the first time Asimov chronicles the life of Hari Seldon, the man who laid the framework for the universe that came to be known as the Foundation. The long-awaited overture to the greatest science fiction series of all time. "Asimov's storytelling skills have never been keener".--Denver Post.

1st of the extended Foundation series, set on the period of Harry Sheldon‘s early years, a must read one for those who try to understand the Foundation Universe...

111/150 Its been several years since I read the original Foundation trilogy, but I remember enjoying it. I didn't enjoy this as much, but it's still a pick, although a low one. This prequel has Hari Seldon at the start of his fame, when psychohistory was just a theory presented in an academic paper. I might have enjoyed this more if Seldon wasn't such a naive person, all his misadventures coming from his seeming inability ⬇️⬇️⬇️

RamsFan1963 to recognize deceit and was continuous amazed when he was betrayed by others trying to use him. It got tiring, his befuddled scholar stumbling from one mishap and misadventure to another. 3 ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2 1st book finished for #20in4 @Andrew65 2y
Andrew65 This is one I want to read having re-read the original series over the past few years. 2y

ClassicAsimov. I read the original Foundation when I was young. Well before the other books came out. Somehow I missed these books that were published later. I plan to read them in chronological order. Great world building and the characters were awesome. Already have the next book on hold at the library. 4⭐️

I‘m finally doing it—tackling the Foundation series (again). This book is a good introduction, hopefully the rest of the series stands up. Going to try them in chronological order…

BookDadGirlDad I enjoyed all the Foundation books...even the prequels authorized by his estate.

Reading this for my book club and may very well read the ENTIRE series. Action, adventure, politics, and scary stuff right out of a Yuval Noah Harari book...but written 30 years ago. #classic #catsoflitsy #scifi

Love these UK covers! Still need to find the other three books in the series. The Foundation Trilogy is my book club‘s May selection, but being all-out-nerds means most of us have opted to read all seven in the series.

Avanders Oooooh 😍 5y
rretzler One of my favorite authors and one of my favorite series. But of course, you have to read the Robot series and Empire series along with! 5y
LauraJ @rretzler It may take me awhile, but I‘ll get to them too. 5y

And this was from 2 days ago. The kindle version had an annoying cover. But I actually loved this. 💖📚

A surprisingly fast read, considering the length. Fast paced. My biggest take away is the strong female character. This is quite the feminist piece all things considered. The only way Dors could be better is if she was the MC as opposed to sidekick. The twist had a twist which took it to a 8/10

MrBook You've talked me into reading this one. https://youtu.be/TV2em3YsNtk 8y

Hey guys. As I'm looking at my reading list, I notice an absolute lack of female authors. I really enjoy sci-fi written between 1880-1960. I already have Frankenstein in my list. Does anyone have any recommendations for others?

Although Master Yoda disagrees with me on this, I think there is a try. Everything is try. We only do if we succeed.
