#QuotsyJan20 Day 11: #Furtive

I really really enjoyed reading this. This was such a magical read from start to finish, and the journey of all characters was heartwarming. It's definitely as great as Chocolat, perhaps even better.

#JazzyJune Zozie has a #ColdHeart, and tries to ruin things for Vianne and Anouk.

I didn't like this book nearly as much as Chocolat, the first book in the series. I'm still not entirely sure of the point of this book, but maybe it will make more sense when I read the third book. Aside from that, I thought it was an interesting story, and I'm glad Vianne came back to her senses in the end.

I'm hoping to finish The Girl with No Shadow today, so I can start the next in the series, Peaches for Monsieur Le Curé. #coffeeandabook

I really liked Chocolat, the first book in this series. I'm enjoying this one so far, but can't quite figure out where the story is going, as it seems quite different from the first book. #coffeeandabook

I haven't had much time to read this week because my mother-in-law was here visiting. I enjoyed having her here, so it was worth giving up some reading time, but now I'm ready to settle in with some coffee and books! ☕📚

0/5⭐ What a disappointment after Chocolat. Vianne is a shadow of herself, nothing happens, there's no antagonist/trajectory, Thierry is an awful backwards controlling man to Vianne & Rosette who the real Vianne wouldn't tolerate at all. By adding more elements of literal magic Harris lost what made the first book actually magical. I DNFed just under 50% right after Roux appeared because I couldn't stand how nonsensical everyone was. #projectSAMS
