This book was so good. From the dynamic between a mother and daughter to a young black girl who was born free feeling like she's enslaved to those around her, this was an emotional, life-drama adventure. I loved it!

Man, I loved this book. It was a crazy story that revolves around a woman who does a podcast about different crimes and trials. It was an intense ride!
1. So much less than I usually do. I try to sit down and read, but then I find myself on my phone or watching the news.
2. My usual favorite genre is Psychological thrillers, but I find newer romance helps when I'm stressed.
@TheSpineView
1. I like the newer romance, for example the tagged book. I'm not into the bustier buster ones lol
2. My hubby and I went out for lunch and book shopping today, but we both usually prefer to stay home.
3. Books! Okay, chocolates. But I like flowers, too.
4. I love Charley and Reyes in the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones.

Talk about taking me back to my teenage years and all the time I spent in the mall!!
This book is crazy! Reading the things Bundy said, how he would only talk about his crimes in the third person, is chilling.
1. Well, considering I'm sick, I'll be spending it in bed 😂
2. I had quite a few favorites, but I think Daisy Jones and the Six was my top favorite.
3. Welcome to all newbies!!

My New Year's Eve in one pic. Happy New Year!! 🎉🎉🎊🎊
This book was so creepy. And I loved all the 80's throwback that reminded me of my childhood. Love Grady Hendrix!
1. Chocolate. Which usually leads to wanting chips. Then back to chocolate ?
2. I enjoy listening to them, I just don't do it enough.
3. Thanksgiving dinner! And I'm going to make a "thankful" book stack to read through.
4. I actually didn't have any candy, but I did eat 2 cupcakes ?
5. Blue is my favorite, but I love all kinds of bright colors.

Today, in all the rain and wind, my honey and I finally tied the knot. It was a sweet, amazing day 😊 Happy Halloween!!
I finished this the other night and really enjoyed it. I guessed where it was going, but that didn't stop me from wanting to get there!
❤ O-H-I-O
🧡 Turned 44 in September (sometimes I feel 18, sometimes I feel 80 🤷♀️)
💛 I'm a bookseller, so discounts are my friend! I'm also a substitute teacher
💚 I am getting married on Halloween!
💙 She/Her
💜 Krissy was my nickname as a kid, and of course, I love books!
#gettingtoknowyou @JoScho
1. Better than expected! I finished my 100-book goal on GoodReads...I'm now at 124 read this year!
2. I'm having a small, private marriage ceremony on Halloween, with the reception later in December. And it's going to be Nightmare Before Christmas themed 🎃👻☠
3. Hard rock and alternative rock mostly.
4. We made our relationship official in July 2 years ago. But our wedding anniversary will be on Halloween
5. Woo! 🎉🎉

I have made myself the promise to read all of these scary/creepy books in October. It's my favorite time of year! 🎃🎃
Those library book sales. They get me every time 🤷♀️😂 Notice my pretty birthday roses, too 😊❤
On a day that the country mourns, I get to celebrate, too. 🎉🎉🎂🎂
**Excuse the language, it just fits so perfectly lol**
Received confirmation that all requirements have been fulfilled for my MA in Criminal Justice! Now to finish my MLS final project. 102 days until graduation and I can finally say...
Very little in my life has given me as much satisfaction as crossing off that last radiation treatment day 😁😁 Onward and upward!!
I loved Daisy Jones & The Six SO, SO, SO much! I'm a rock-and-roll girl at heart, anyway, so reading about the making of a true rock band--even fictional--was awesome. I loved reading each character's POV and how they were each affected as their dreams came to life. One of my favorite books so far this year!
I read both of these in 2 days, that's how much I loved them! #KatherineCenter really knows how to tug at the heart strings ❤❤
1. I've got a thing for Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj, even though my fave music is rock/alternative.
2. Fall, without a doubt. Cool, crisp air, pumpkin and apple everything, Halloween, football, and hoodies!
3. Psychological thrillers.
4. Not sure yet. My honey is taking me out to celebrate finishing my first week of radiation 😊.
5. On it!
#friyayintro @howjessreads
While waiting to start my first radiation appointment, I finished reading Between The Lies. It was pretty enjoyable and a super-fast read. What happens when you wake up in a hospital and don't know who you are or how you got there and you're forced to go home with people who claim to be your family? Chloe has survived a tragic car accident, but she doesn't remember anything, and she believes she's in danger but doesn't know why. Really liked this!
I read this in about a day and a half, it was that good! I always enjoy a book that makes me believe I know what's happening for the whole book, then says "Nope" and flips it.
1. Got the letter from my doctor stating my mammogram was completely clear, and I can FINALLY start radiation!
2. The entire Harry Potter series 😊
3. I'm a HUGE Cleveland Cavs fan, so out of spite definitely the Toronto Raptors 😂😂
4. Anything by Stephen King that was published by the time I was in high school works. I've loved his books since I was 12.
5. @jwashreads where you been?!?!
#HumpDayPost @DebbieGrillo @MinDea
When you just want to take a pic of your #bookhaul and your cat needs you to know she doesn't approve 🤷♀️🤷♀️😂😂
Historical fiction is not necessarily the genre I go for, but I've heard so many good things about Fiona Davis lately that I had to read one of her books. I loved The Masterpiece! It fluctuates between 1929 and 1974 and focuses on art and art history. I thought the story of a female art teacher trying to break into the male-dominated art world was intriguing and really captured what was happening in these 2 time frames.
Whoopsie. Looks like the Friends of the Library sale got me again 🤷♀️🤷♀️
I was given this book in a really neat gift bag created by the Baskets of Care organization when I was diagnosed. It did not have a lot about the type I have (DCIS), it still provided me with a lot of info about the way I've been feeling, how to deal with people who don't or won't understand what I'm going through, and about how to deal after. Radiation should be beginning this week or next and I'm ready to take it on! #cancersucks
I really enjoyed this book. It made me feel so many emotions, especially as a mom who always worried about something happening to my daughter (still do worry, even though she will be 22). Highly recommend! #littlelovelythings
Sat outside and got some sun over the weekend while reading this. Got a little sunburnt, but that's okay because I really enjoyed this! Sci-fi is not really my genre, but I thought this was a fast read with an interesting, unusual storyline. And I loved how much the negative side of social media played into the story. I can't wait for the sequel! #hankgreen
I loved this book with all my heart. People don't understand Annika and her strange behaviors, except for her lost love Jonathan. She gets the opportunity to reunite with him while learning about who she truly is along the way. This book was wonderful. Thank you @StMartinsPress for the ARC!#TheGirlHeUsedToKnow #TraceyGarvisGraves
I love when I get my #bookofthemonth #bookmail. It makes me so happy! #helenhoang
I'm a little behind in posting my reviews because of health stuff and doctor's appointments. Once again, I love an Alice Feeney book! In all honesty, I liked Sometimes I Lie a little bit better, but this was a super-fast read that had a twist that blew my mind and made me go back and read the last few chapters again.
I loved this book. From the way it set up to the big twist, I flew through this and loved every second of it. I've read A LOT of psychological thrillers and can usually guess the ending, but this one got me and that makes me happy! #thesilentpatient #alexmichaelides
Love when my dude and I have a day date. He took me to lunch at Olive Garden and then, of course, book shopping. My favorite!
I love a good library book sale! Some of these are like brand new!! ❤❤
This is my Linguine baby (yes, the pasta). She is the sweetest and has the best temperament I've ever seen in a cat. And if she knows you have ice cream, she will follow you through the house till she gets some. 😻😻 #crazycatlady
My daughter's boyfriend graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ohio State today and since we couldn't be there, Jake wanted him to know we love him 😂❤ Go Bucks!
I was somehow sent 2 copies of The First Mistake by Sandie Jones and Gravity is the Thing by Jaclyn Moriarty. Would anyone be interested in either or both? I will gladly send them out to you! First come first served 😊 Drop me a line if you're interested!
Between Avengers: Endgame on Friday and Game of Thrones tonight, my emotions need a break.
I love Lisa Gardner and I love the Detective DD Warren series! This was another great book in the series!
Went for my one week after-surgery checkup and I am pleased to report that the tissue sample showed the surgeon removed all of the cancer and I only have DCIS--the cancer stayed noninvasive and I can proceed with radiation in a few weeks! This is amazing news!! Everything is healing, stitches were removed, and I'll be back to normal soon. To all my female family and friends, I am now the poster child for getting your yearly mammograms done ASAP!!
Well, tomorrow is the day I have lumpectomy surgery. I won't lie, I am freaking out! But trying to relax with a book...about a kid...who's a killer...Yeah, that'll distract me 😂
I loved this book so much! From learning about the hardships his family suffered to his hilarious depiction of the differences between America and the UK, I whipped through #NaturallyTan in less than a day! It was wonderful! Thank you @StMartinsPress for the ARC!
This was a really quick, fast-paced read that actually surprised me twice! The last two pages left me with the holy @#$% face ?? Also, notice my own "unwanted guest" in the background. He has to be near me every second that I'm home. He's a weirdo.
I read this in one day, it was that good! I spent almost the whole book angry at just about every character for their incompetencies or denial, and the mother really started to get on my nerves--all in a good way! A must-read!
Stephen King has been my favorite author since I was 12 years old and read Carrie. This was perfect King, but also a little off his usual path with the retired detective Hodges trying to catch "the one that got away." Loved it! Can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy. #StephenKing
With my impending surgery and weeks of radiation coming quickly, I decided to make a TBR cart (thanks to seeing so many other people doing it) so that I'll have books right next to me when I'm stuck on bed rest. This should last me...for a little while, anyway 🤷♀️😂
1. Virgo. And I encompass all the good and bad things they say represent Virgos, for sure.
2. Went down to Ohio State University to see my daughter get announced as the first-ever female to win president of the Scarlet and Gray Forecasting Club. Such a proud mama moment 😊
3. Moby Dick. I tried to read it 3 times. DNF it 3 times. I give up!
4. A whole lot of NOTHING!
5. Happy #FRIYAY y'all!
