Storm Diego was raging outside and was so noisy it woke me up and then I couldn't go back to sleep. So I decide to read something light and easy instead. It was fun and (very slightly) nostalgic, but inevitably perhaps, it had aged a bit.

#booked2020 @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft - makes you lol.
I've had an Adrian Mole weekend as i reread the secret diary and rd the growing pains for the 1st time. These books should be free to everyone at the mo as they are a perfect tonic to the news. I forgot how brilliant sue townsend was and whilst written in the 80's it has not dated. A wonderful read and spent the day chuckling. Definitely going to read more in series😂

BarbaraTheBibliophage Aww. These do sound like a tonic. 5y
TrishB My hubby‘s been re-reading these when he gets banished to the bedroom when we‘re all working downstairs! 5y

Cuilin ❤️ still love these. Both my daughters (18, 20) have read them too. I had to explain all the pop culture/ Thatcher‘s Britain, so we had great chats. 💕 5y

Thinking about Adrian Mole yesterday reminded me how much I loved his mother. The above is a favourite snippet.
