Easy and enjoyable escapism, surprisingly emotive and moving in the final pages. Nothing particularly new here but well done 😁

Just finishing up this read.... Doggy hot water bottle on a cold night 🔥❄️🐕👍 #readingbuddy #dogsoflitsy
Loving the description of a character as "more Kate Bush than Bonnie Tyler" ??
Now back to this which I was sailing through but put on hold to read The Elementals #currentlyreading #readinginbed
Very enjoyable so far...... Lots of my favourite tropes.... Two intertwining time frames, tragedy and mystery, reclusive older woman with "history"', rambling old mansion falling into ruin, vaguely Gothic sinister undertones, old world and new world collide.... Plus I like the writing style.....all good for £2.99 at Sainsbury's
Day 24 #emojinov #🍽 I enjoyed this Gothic-ish novel set in present day Tuscany & '70-80s Hollywood & Tuscany. Crumbling old estate, two perspectives/time frames intertwine well in this mystery. Good twists & pacing kept me absorbed. Paired with Mushroom & Leek 'Stuffing' Risotto with Stuffing Butter Breadcrumbs for my blog book tour review--just in case you didn't get enough stuffing yesterday! 😋🍽*GIVEAWAY* (US/Canada) & review/recipe link👇🏻
Meeting in town done, library stop made, & back home for lunch of Sunday's leftovers-Three Bean Vegetarian Chili with homemade tofu chorizo crumbles & lots of toppings (because toppings are the best).😋My only regret is that I didn't stop & grab some Fritos because I hate grocery stores the week of Thanksgiving.😬But otherwise delicious. With the book I am trying to finish for book tour review on Friday. I think I know my recipe pairing...🤔 📚🥄
I usually go for dark chocolate with sea salt but chop some pretzels up in Lindt milk chocolate & I'm perfectly happy.?❤️I needed a treat tonight & I started this book for a book tour review next week. Maybe it's the sugar from the chocolate talking but when I look at this cover & see the tagline: "Beneath the surface lies a terrible secret.." I can't help thinking from her hand position--the secret is that the cover model is fixing a wedgie.??
Sounds promising though the cover is pretty cheesy #TBRsomeday
Very good. Enjoyed it start to finish. Loved the twist and turns this book took and was gripped all the way through. Recommend.📖📚
