Today was my first psychoanalysis session. I had no idea what to expect. Let's just say a box of Kleenex later, I feel a whole lot more aware of who I am and why I think the way I do. So of course, treated myself to some book love. A new journey journal, too. I rarely buy books full price at the bookstore, but decided on this Tanizaki, which is a retelling of the Makioka Sisters from the perspective of the maids. #bookhaul

The dust jacket says that it was his last "lost" novel that is now finally translated. I think you need to treat yo self to a copy when you're finished. Xx (edited) 7y

Mimi28 Therapy is hard but don't give up. I haven't gone all summer but my therapist understands my social anxiety and we have sessions over the phone. I'm glad you found a good therapist also. Good luck 👍🍀❤️❤️❤️ 7y

EvieBee @Mimi28 Thank you so much, Mimi! I had no idea that it would be challenging, my doctor just recommended it and I finally agreed after 6 months of considering it. Can't wait to go back in 2 weeks. But the homework. Lol! It's tough. 😊 7y

Mimi28 No problem ❤️❤️❤️I have been in therapy quite a while. It's good you are enthusiastic about it and are brave enough to explore yourself in such a way. It can seem scary at first, but don't get discouraged. It's also awesome that you are starting off with someone you like and who challenges you. It takes some people a long time to find a good therapist. 7y
