I‘m in New Jersey to house sit for the next two weeks. 1. Audiobook to keep me company on the road.
2. We‘ll be going out for pizza for dinner.
3. Yesterday I went for a nature walk at a local park.
4. I reorganized my bookshelves, donated several books, and brought with me enough reading material for two months.
5. I had a good weekend at the ballpark for my last games of the season.

I really enjoy this series; the main characters are believable and engaging, and the mysteries are solid. I read two books in the series this week, both set in the Fall. No spoilers, but given the way this one turned out I wanted to read the next one right away! Fortunately I had it on hand.
The pic is of the lone color in our back forty. A maple amidst many oaks.
Making good progress on my #BookSpinBingo card!
I haven't read any of the Gemma James/ Duncan Kincaid novels in a while. First published in 1995, the book shows it's age some, but not in bad way... i was just thinking while reading that times sure have changed in the last 25 years... thank goodness.
I loved Enid Blyton as a kid... haven't thought about the books in years and now that I read this line, I want to pick up one of her books again...
I'm a sucker for these types of series. And I never guess endings, so they're always fun for me.
⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the 3rd Kincaid/James mystery in the series, and it felt rather slow until about 3/4 of the way in. There was the actual mystery and relationship mysteries, one of which was resolved and the other...made more complicated? I am a bit ambivalent about the latter, but the series continues, and we shall see what we shall see. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2nd stack of #RIPXII reading 📖 (the top book is cut out but is the Crombie book)
It's Saturday night and rainy. Time to get under a blanket with a mystery. It's supposed to be hot next weekend. I feel like I should savor blanket reading time before backyard reading time begins.
