The idea behind Compulsion was great, but the story was severely lacking. It moved slowly because it seemed like nothing crucial ever happened, and I had a hard time connecting with the bland characters. I struggled to find the major conflict, or the point of the book. I couldn't tell where it was going or what needed to be resolved. Overall, a mess that left me disappointed.
