Just starting this today & wow the prologue is super gripping! I‘m having high hopes on this one. It‘s my first Brandon Sanderson book.
UPDATE: Terrific YA Sci-Fi! Amazing character growth & the plot was great with perfect twists. I read this in 24hrs. My fav of year so far!!
I‘m loving this series, but slowing down knowing I‘m almost to the end. However, the author makes it tough with the great twists.
I think I‘ll need a detox book after this. 🤦♀️
Really enjoying audiobooks lately. This one is really starting off great and has been on my TBR list for awhile. 💕🙌
Our newest family Mochi. I tend to call her Mo Mo sweetly. Loves the curl up while a book or Kindle is in hand.
So far her & my sweet boy Finn (Labrador) are getting along great. Feeling blessed.

The #MeToo movement has been a long time coming for survivors and women in general. Rose‘s story is one that seems unreal - but isn‘t. It‘s riveting to read and I pray for the healing and the bravery for all. #respectall
pickI enjoyed Consumed. The plot of Dannyboy & Anne was good & kept my interest in the explosive beginning. I enjoyed Anne‘s character as the female firefighter; tough, independent, and skilled.
The part that didn‘t work was the lingering mystery. The payoff wasn‘t satisfying, like an afterthought. There were loose ends & I wonder if its a series & if so, not sure I‘ll running back for more. Unless its Jack from SWAT, that could change my tune!
pickI just finished the final book in this series. It‘s a massive tale that wraps up beautifully with complete payoffs. If you enjoyed A Darker Shade of Magic then wandered over to book 2, A Gathering of Shadows - you will love this! It‘s starts with a bang unlike the first two. It goes strong throughout with further character arcs. It‘s not a meager commitment mind you this book is over 600 pages. However, it‘s worth it as I mourn its completion. 😢
☠️ Hum...I don‘t read super scary, but I really loved Bram Stokers Dracula.
🎃 The Shining freaked me out as a kid-still get the chills about it. I‘m a mild scare factor person & loved Aliens so if it‘s on TV I‘m watching it.
🍁 The cool down of the weather. My birthday. Costumes & Halloween! Pumpkin everything - lattes, pies, etc...

This books continues from Shades of Magic and picks up on the story of Lila & Kell and how they get pushed together at The Essen Tasch. Plus lots of new characters! Great hook ending love how the plot is developing. My only complaint is the beginning was slow going for a good portion of the book. However, by the middle I couldn‘t flip the pages fast enough. Wish I have VESchwabs writing talent!

It‘s about Faerie‘s & our main character Jude (a mortal)growing up in this world by tragic introduction with her sisters. Its crude and violent, but it‘s clear with a world that is well built you‘re prepared for the journey. I can not wait for the next one!
I‘m currently reading this and really enjoying it because it‘s different so far. I‘m almost 50% and I really love the main character Jade. So well written.

pickNot my favorite-but it had it‘s moments in JR Ward style. I speed read in some cases the details weren‘t leading the story forward and I just wanted to get to the characters. Peyton is a complicated character & I wanted the best for Saxton — the story delivered. For me, it‘s becoming a formula and I need a bigger plot twist, considering the cost of the kindle version - outrageous. I‘ll be evaluating in future books for sure before buying.
