The Paradise War Lewis Gillies is an American graduate student in Oxford who should be getting on with his life. Yet for some reason, he finds himself speeding north with his roommate Simon on a larkhalf-heartedly searching for a long-extinct creature allegedly spotted in a misty glen in Scotland. Expecting little more than a weekend diversion, Lewis accidently crosses through a mystical gateway where two worlds meet: into the time-between-times, as the ancient Celts called it. And into the heart of a collision between good and evil that's been raging since long before Lewis was born. The Silver Hand The great king is dead and his kingdom lies in ruins. Treachery and brutality rule the land, and Albion is the scene of an epic struggle for the throne. Lewis is now known as Llew in this Otherworld and has become a threat to the usurper Meldron. #ThoughtfulThursday

▪️Yes, on a few occasions. The first one was after the tagged series. I couldn‘t read anything for almost 2-3 weeks.
▪️Any villain from The Kingsbridge novels are pretty vile; and Bellatrix Lestrange
▪️I like both, but most of my favorites are series or trilogy

⭐️Every please play. Tagging a few Littens to get the game going!

MemoirsForMe Thanks for the tag! Been a busy few days here. My favorite authors like Anne Tyler and Steinbeck always give me a hangover for a few days, but then I want to read more of their work. Most villainous character was definitely East of Eden‘s Cathy. 😱 4y
MoonWitch94 @UwannaPublishme oh yes, E of E‘s Cathy!! Absolutely!!! Thanks for playing 🌼💚🦋⭐️ 4y

I have read this trilogy 2 times & I think 2020 will be my third time. I read them in 2009, then reread in 2013 when my Dad died & now in 2020. Very few novels have made me feel so deeply & kept me up way into the night to see what happens next. I truly mourned when it was over. Such a beautiful, lush, magical series. #GratefulReads #November25 #Bookyouhavereread

Pickpick

This trilogy has become part of my soul. It was the first fantasy series that I ever read and it was beautiful. It is written eloquently, with gorgeous vocabulary that conjures the most vivid images. The characters stay with you long after the story is over. Although the author is a man, Mr. Lawhead is able to create and voice strong, fabulous female characters (which is rare for a male author). All avid readers should read these novels.

Eggbeater Great review! Welcome to Litsy! 🐙 6y
