Greedy Pigs
Greedy Pigs: A Sin du Jour Affair | Matt Wallace
9 posts | 6 read
The Sin du Jour crew caters to the Shadow Government in Greedy Pigs, Matt Wallace's fifth Sin du Jour Affair I never did give them hell. I just told the truth, and they thought it was hell. Politics is a dirty game. When the team at Sin du Jour accidentally caters a meal for the President of the United States and his entourage, they discover a conspiracy that has been in place since before living memory. Meanwhile, the Shadow Government that oversees the co-existence of the natural and supernatural worlds is under threat from the most unlikely of sources. Its up to one member of the Sin du Jour staff to prevent war on an unimaginable scale. Between courses, naturally. At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

The latest installment in the Sin du Jour series gives us an intro to the company's homebound clientele, assassin possession, and a shadow government / presidential Inauguration mix-up with some political meat puppets; all of which makes for some interesting reading. Always fun to hang out with the Sin du Jour cast of characters, 'cause you're never quite sure what you're gonna get.

Riley would like to know if someone wants to come rescue him from the vet. He will reward you with slobber and kisses.

Getting some reading in while they process the heart worm test. #notbookrelated #dogsoflitsy #Riley

DaniRey Aww an Austrian cattle dog? I have a heeler mix and she loves the vet because they give so many treats 🤣 5y
BookmarkTavern @DaniRey The nice people at the shelter said he was a border collie-Australian cattle dog mix, and he wouldn‘t get any bigger than 40 pounds. At three weeks old, I could hold him in my cupped hands. Flash forward a few years, and he was 80 pounds of pure muscle! 😂 Eventually, we got a dog DNA test done which said border collie, cattle dog, and SOME kind of shepherd. 🤣 5y
DaniRey @chaoticgoodhufflepuff so similar to mine! Rescue said border-collie cattle dog mix. DNA test showed cattle dog mainly then Korean Jindo, Rottweiler and French bulldog and lots of unknowns 🤣 her body type is pure heeler but she‘s sold black with a white chest, so I get why they thought collie. I love my little mutt! 5y
BookmarkTavern @DaniRey That combination sounds adorable! Riley‘s my big puppy. He thinks he‘s still small enough to be a lap dog. He is... definitely not. ❤️ (edited) 5y

Not entirely sure when that happened but yay! I'm not in a position sadly to do a giveaway, but let's do a little #PayItForward instead.
Tag me with #PayItForward in a post telling me about your favourite book, something that you read and has really stuck with you. You never know, maybe you'll inspire me or someone else to read it too!

TheBookAddict 🙌🏽congrats! 🎉 oh my, I have way too many books I‘ve loved and can‘t stop thinking about. A Man Called Ove has been very memorable to me. It just made me realize how people truly are a world on their own. We don‘t know what they‘re going through, why the way they are, nor what they‘re thinking about. And we don‘t know how much a simple interaction can change their world, their mood, or their outlook on life. I loved that book. It made me 😭. 7y

Not book related but holy cow! It's not even worth the original $70 price tag. I really wanted to get my daughter one because it's the only thing she's asked for but I can reconcile spending so much on crap toys. I just can't.
#NotTodaySatan #Tomorrow #AnyDayEver

ohyeahthatgirl My Barnes & Noble has the smaller ones all over. Maybe she'd settle? 7y
EchoLogical @ohyeahthatgirl Yeah, my plan is to buy a couple of the smaller ones and maybe the fizz factory so she can make her own and share them with her friends. 7y
Reviewsbylola I was able to snag one of these for the original price. My girls will have to share though. 😂 I think LOL dolls are one of the most overpriced toys out there. I can‘t believe how much the big surprise is selling for now! 7y

EchoLogical @Reviewsbylola They're like the Hatchimals. People are buying them all up and reselling them for more than twice as much. Have you seen the unboxing videos? 7y
laurieluna This happened with beatbo a couple of years ago in the UK. I was lucky enough to snag one at retail, but they were £37 normally, going for upwards of £80 on ebay. Gouging parents eyes out. John Lewis have released a Moz cuddly from their ad. Bought one straight away as a cuddly from an ad a couple of years ago got bought up at its £10 price tag and resold for £30+ online. Retailers need to put purchasing limits on things. 7y
laurieluna This is Moz. Rrp £20. Looks like they've bought a load. Saw another for £35! 😩 https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOZ-THE-MONSTER-LARGE-SOFT-TOY-JOHN-LEWIS-NEW-V-QUICK-P... 7y
Reviewsbylola I haven‘t seen the unboxings but my kids have. I know the contents are all the same, which is why I decided to just get one. 7y
EchoLogical @miralunasbooknook Wow. I probably wouldn't buy it for either amount because I'm slightly terrified of it. I'm guessing he's pretty popular there? 😅 7y
laurieluna @EchoLogical yeah, we know its Christmas here when the ad competition starts between the big stores 😂 the ad is so sweet as well. Whenever it comes on my 2 year old is mesmerised. 7y
EchoLogical @Reviewsbylola I tried watching a few to find out how many dolls are included they're all so long! Are there multiple dolls inside or just one with a bunch of accessories and stickers? 7y
Reviewsbylola From what I know, it includes four of the bigger dolls and four of the little sisters. And maybe 8 bath bombs? Plus a couple accessories. 7y
Reviewsbylola Ok so I just looked it up and the answers all vary but I think there are only two each of the big sisters and little sisters. Plus five fizz balls that contain accessories. Plus other accessories. So my previous answer was wrong! 7y
Kaye I must be really Out of the Loop. I saw the book title, Greedy 🐷, then the pictures and prices. I thought, doggone, those must be a whole pig for that price. I thought it was HAM 😳 I wondered why your daughter was asking for a ham....... 7y
EchoLogical @Reviewsbylola Okay, that makes it a little better but I'm gonna have to pass because of all the price gouging. 7y
EchoLogical @Kaye I was totally ranting so my post probably doesn't make much sense. 😂 She literally just started eating ham like a month ago but would most likely stop if she realized it comes from pigs. 😂😂😂 7y
[DELETED] 3803335244 I don‘t know what these are but I‘m really glad no one asked for one in my house. Maybe Walmart has something similar but generic? Sorry 7y
EchoLogical @ForeverNerdy They have smaller ones available so I plan to load up on those. She'll forget all about the dern thing in a few weeks. Lol 7y
Linear Dont do it, its gotten so many bad reviews for not being worth the money. Your better off getting a bunch of big sister balls. Plus in a few monts, or heck just after Christmas, the price will drop like hatchimals. But i just watched some videos on this and it looks wasasy not worth it. 7y
Linear @EchoLogical i just saw what you said above me about buying a bunch of small ones, lol 7y
Linear Ooo better yet make your o2n big ball to put the smqller ones in qnd tell her she got a super exclusive bug ball from santa that no one else got. Boom 7y

Easy summer reading. These sci-fi books are quick and easy to read and let you disappear into a world a bit more absurd than this one.

Things are definitely a lot more serious in this installment of Wallace's series. While there's still plenty of hilarious bits, most of that hilarity's tempered by how high the stakes are now. I just really want all my favorite characters to make it to the finish line alive - even if a part of me knows that's not likely to happen :(.
