If you grew up with these characters, or even if you didn't, this is a worthy (not, I don't think, exclusive) interpretation including some truly brilliant passages. At a certain point, it's largely about Hodel and Perchik.

Author Alexandra Silber has a deep relationship with Fiddler on the Roof, having played Hodel in the West End and Tzeitel on Broadway. Her novel picks up after Hodel has gone "far from the home I love" to be with Perchik in exile. Silber invents a backstory for Perchik and imagines what happens to the rest of the family, but beware that the action gets a bit grim. #FarFromHome #JamminJune

A great audible original that excerpts portions of the story along with original songs, which are all based on “Fiddler on the Roof”
My #SelfCareSunday is just this: a book and some tea. Being lazy never felt so good. #bookandbeverage #SpringIntoReading
#MelodiousMusicals #IfIWereARichMan 🎵🎶OMG 😲How did I not know about this novel before today??? Fiddler On The Roof is one of my favorite musicals...I've always wondered what happened to Tevyah & his daughters!!! Coincidentally, I'm traveling to Odessa tomorrow on a charity mission which makes me believe I'm destined to read this book. Has any Litten read it? Please share your thoughts!
As a #broadwaybookworm whose favorite "Fiddler on the Roof" character/dream role has always been Hodel, there was no way I couldn't add this to my collection. ? #afteranatevka #alexandrasilber #fiddlerontheroof
