Tense times in the story. Romantics will love the ending. Bennie quickly accepts Jason‘s murder case because she wasn‘t able to help him when he was younger and wrongfully imprisoned. Still, she doesn‘t believe his story. On top of it, this case will put her in the presence of her lost love (who imho is a jerk!). She pursues Jason‘s innocence to the point of risking contempt of court.

Despite Bennie Rosato‘s best efforts to defend him, twelve-year-old Jason is sent to a juvenile detention center after fighting with a bully.

Now, thirteen years later, that bully is found murdered and guess who is found with a knife in his hand. While evidence points to Jason, Bennie believes in his innocence.

While she couldn‘t protect him before, will she be able to set him free this time?

I really liked this one!!

Success on Day 4!

#40Miles20Hours

Finally some good weather!!

Let‘s add another two hours to my reading total for Corrupted (I‘m 70% finished now) and 3.5 miles to my total walking!

How is everyone else doing??

Remember it is never too late to join - we‘re all in this together so come along and join #40Miles20Hours and try to reach a total of 40 walking/jogging/running miles and 20 hours of audiobooks.

We can do it!!

GreenGrl87 Is it 40 miles or 40 hours/20 miles? Because I thought the latter was what was originally posted? 4y
GreenGrl87 Also, I love the collage idea! Not sure why it didn‘t occur to me as I was trying to figure out a way to share my progress without fitness tracker stats taking over. 4y
KristenDuck @GreenGrl87 the challenge is 40 miles and to listen to audiobooks for 20 hours - but honestly just do what you want!! Lol 4y

#40Miles20Hours Day 3!

Only about one mile today but I did a beach body workout and also got more cleaning done so I‘ve been moving!!

45% done with Corrupted, and I love it so far! I also started reading My Lovely Wife, but obviously I‘m not exercising when reading that one (FYI that one is good too so far!)

Remember we are all in this together so be sure to share your accomplishments as you continue to move and listen to audiobooks!

Sharv_Sona Nice pic. 😊 4y

Welcome to Day 2 of #40Miles20Hours !

Unfortunately Philadelphia experienced storms and rain today, so no long walks, but I did do a 30 minute kickboxing workout, baked four dozen cookies, and cleaned a bit! So at least I wasn‘t sitting still all day!!

Anyone else get their walk in today or able to listen to their audiobook?

I‘m about 25% done with this one already!

Don‘t forget to check in with the hashtag #40Miles20Hours

vlwelser It's pouring here in Boston. And windy. 🌧🌬 But I cleaned a lot. So hopefully tomorrow is better. 😊 4y
Bookwormjillk We were on the verge of storms all day, but they never materialized. I got my walking in, but between work and kids not a lot of listening. Tomorrow should be better for listening but a bad day for walking. Hopefully someday I can do it all! 4y
marleed Oh I saw this tag yesterday so I missed the sign up but I did think of it today - walked 5.6 miles over 2 hours and 6 minutes and enjoyed my library loan the whole time. 4y
KristenDuck @marleed you can still join us! Everyone is always welcome! 4y

If you enjoy fast paced crime/legal reads, then this series is for you. Current cases handled by the all-female law firm, Rosato & DiNunzio, always begin in the past. Scottoline weaves past and present as the cases play out and are resolved in edge-of-your seat fashion.

#Audioknitting in the sunroom. Loving this fast paced series! #knittersoflitsy

SandyW Your knitting looks interesting and lovely. What is it... And post a pic when you've finished please. 5y
cathysaid @SandyW Thank you! It is a shawl that I‘m 1/3 of the way through. I‘ll post and tag you when done. I can‘t remember...Are you a knitter? 5y
SandyW I am, but I tend to knit while watching tv, so I rarely post about it. 5y
cathysaid @SandyW Much of this has been knitted in front of old Dateline episodes or Netflix. 😬 5y

Full of romance and heartbreak I really enjoyed this one but was so very devastated by Bennie's relationship troubles.

This was a quick easy read. I hadn't read the prior 2 books but never felt like I was missing something. It had somethings based off an actual corruption case that had happened to children in Pennsylvania so that was also an interesting fact . My only negative was Bennie and DeClans relationship.... Like you fall "madly in love"with someone after a day and it was still a factor 13 years later that was a little far fetched
