I like trying new detective series, and especially ones that seem relatively unknown, so many great reasonably undiscovered jams out there. This is the first book in the series and was very enjoyable. I look forward to continuing this series. A good audiobook.

Another great female detective.... I‘m intrigued to know more about her backstory, particularly about the investigation.

This was really rather gruesome in places but very moreish- I couldn‘t put it down! Interesting concept that you knew the perpetrator throughout the book, but not his ‘colleagues‘ x that worked really well.

Having stumbled across @RachelAmphlett via one of her posts showing a map of an area near me, she put me on to the first book in her Kay Hunter series. To say this is a page turner is an understatement - great pace throughout. And a bonus to read a book based not too far from where I live. Recommended !

Brilliant book, the suspense was palpable and had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. This is a great start to the Detective Kay Hunter series. I'm on team Kay Hunter, are you?

A nice person called Rachel Amphlett followed me yesterday. Turns out this nice person writes about not nice things and not nice people and the nice people who track down those not nice people. Hope I'm not being too technical. Always keen to find a new police procedural, I downloaded this. ("Enkindled" it? That really should be a word.)
Anyway, I started it last night. I think I'm going to like Kay Hunter. She's nice. P.S. I'm not on commission.
