My 2023 collage journal is finished .......phew.
Yes I know the day is not finished -I do leave a tiny square for add ins -just in case !

Happy New Year.

I do write in a journal as well -stream of thought for my anxiety and mental health.

Anyone who wants to join journaling once a month prompts/ideas that has not already let me know -please let me know below if you want to be tagged.

Gissy I like journaling. I‘m not an expert. I have a journal where I annotate all the activities and reading challenges. I have another one for books I want to read. In my reading planner I add stickers or use stamp for daily activities and books reviews. Mine looks like yours due to the stickers I use. But I will like to see what other readers add in their journals, ideas that maybe I can use. 4mo

Jari-chan I am thinking of starting journaling, but I'm not really sure what people consider "journaling" - I do have a book where I put in things I want to keep and decorate with stickers? 4mo

While the hubs is busy setting up what he is affectionately calling his "Other Wife" (pretty sure that's going to change to "Favourite Wife" ?) I might as well crack into my new #bujo for 2022 and see if I can get some spreads started. It looks like I'm going to have a lot of time on my own coming up so I should have a good start for the New Year!

These are the exact same journals.

The journal on the left is brand new.

The journal on the right contains 551 books that were read 7/12/2020 thru 10/31/2021.

Each book that I read/listened to has a 2X2” picture of the book cover, short review, date read & rating. I used a mountain of glue sticks, box of pens, washi tape, boxes of Selphy paper/ink, multiple swap cards, endless photos & stickers galore!

I look forward to filling my new journal.

AmyG Wow. Great job! I did something remotely similar but not as involved. I have written down the title and author of every book I have read since 5/10/74. You will love, years from bow, looking back at what you have read. And holy cow-it takes me years to read that many books! (edited) 2y

I started it because I read Jimmy Fallon‘s summer reading pick & needed to gripe but with Covid & lock down, I pulled an empty journal off the stack (why do I have so many unused journals?) & don‘t regret it! My entries range 1-3 books per page. It evolved as I went along. I have a loose format & added more than books (or it might have lasted 2 years). I‘ll be finishing it this weekend & starting the new one. 🤗 2y

Twainy @wanderinglynn thank you! I lugged this thing in my backpack to work for the past 6 months. Sitting here alone at lunch (thanks Covid isolation) writing down thoughts on books I‘d read that week. It‘s become such a “thing” that I will miss it‘s extra weight. 🤗 2y

Twainy @AmyG HOLY SMOKE! As I read the books I have them in order in my phone app with listening time & page count. It helps me plan ahead. The book … it has over 500 book memories and so many family & friend memories in the form of pictures, cards, receipts, etc. I can‘t believe it all started cuz a book annoyed me LOL I like the idea of author 😁🤗 2y

Twainy @kplovesbooks LOL I kept adding to the book because I was very NOT organized LOL it‘s evolved. I had done a photo journal (with extras & art) like 5 years before this so I combined photos & books. Passed the time while being so isolated. 🤗 2y

Twainy @SamanthaMarie Fleishman is in Trouble … I was (and still am) annoyed. I wanted to love it. I mean .. it‘s Jimmy Fallon‘s summer pick, right?! So it seems like it should be a mainstream lovable book? His pick this year was a stinker too. He showcases like 5 books & picks one to read with everyone. Twainy @SamanthaMarie yess 😁 I read a lot so I‘m always looking for recommendations. There are a number of “celebrities” that have summer reading or some sort of book list. Fallon will walk in with a stack of 5-6 books and read the summaries and then either he or the audience choose the summer buddy read. 2y

Hey everyone - I‘m back! I‘ve been kind of back and forth on how involved I want to be in my reading logs. I stopped doing book reviews on my blog. I can‘t ever seem to find the right words to describe how I felt about the book, or the writing itself. I want to keep track of my books read on something other than GR - but I‘m not super artsy either. Anyone have recs for a book journal they‘ve purchased or a template they‘ve used? HELP! Thank you :)

Well my coloring journal, that became a book journal, apparently needs a new page.... I went to write in it tonight and realized I need to start a new page, and carryover 4 books I “meant” to read or at least start by now.... better luck next page. 😂

But hey, I‘m keeping up with the coloring, and my new markers didn‘t soak through near as badly this time, so #BookJournaling win! Now if I could just manage to stay in the lines better.
