Hey everyone.... Sorry I've been away for ages. We've been having some tough times..Challenges with our businesses so we've been working then sleeping. Then our beloved dog got diagnosed with a mast cell tumor (she's only just 4). She's had surgery and we are waiting to hear back on lump pathology if the prognosis is good or bad. I will be back but not at the mo.... Thankyou so much for your card @TrishB and I still have ur book @jhod sorry!

so-soThis book format is all in letters written. Because of all the letters from Evelyn, you really get a sense of who she is and what she's going through. It is heavy and sad. Make sure you have tissues ready if you're reading this!
panI picked this up after an EW story about the author not getting invited to schools because of the content. Evie‘s evolving relationship with her faith was interesting. Everything centered around her sexuality felt hollow and inauthentic.
pickWhen high school student Cilla gets pregnant, her strict Catholic parents send her to live with her great-aunt until she has the baby. Missing her older sister, Evie starts writing her letters in which she tells Cilla about everything—school, her frustration with their parents, her growing feelings for a girl, & more. Cilla doesn‘t respond but it doesn‘t stop Evie from writing as she tries to make sense of her changing world. A good MG read.

pickI was lucky enough to get to read an arc of this beautiful, heart-wrenching book. I found Evie so relatable (and sweet). It's going to be a life-changer for young LGBT+ kids who've never seen themselves on the pages of a book before.
