pickThis was just a fun book to read. Low angst (for an Ashley book) and lots of laughs. Izzy and Johnny were so sweet together. The love triangle thing was not a big deal which was my concern going in. Overall it wasn‘t a favorite book by her, but it was still a fantastic contemporary romance.
bailedJust don‘t. This is not worth the time. I tend to expect fun, fast, and ridiculous with KA, but this was brutal. I semi liked the heroine, but I also wanted to bop her. This is a total bail.

bailedI gave this one a try because authors like Colleen Hoover got me to see romance and new adult novels as more than the embarrassing fare I assumed for years they all were. I also tried this because it was a Goodreads finalist in the Romance category. Unfortunately at 23% in I had to bail because I just can‘t deal with overly macho characters who quietly control women. Why women like characters like that I‘ll never know, I‘m just not one of them.
I‘m trying this one out as it‘s got high ratings on Goodreads and is even a semi finalist in this year‘s best romance category. 🤞

so-soI love Kristen Ashley but for the past few years her new books and new characters just don‘t sparkle as much as they did before. I feel like she just changed the names and location and that‘s her story.
This time around I felt the conflict that happened was weak and thrown in to make the hero and heroine fall more in love, which wasn‘t necessary. I do hope Addie and Tony get their own book though.
