pickLiz has worked at a baby magazine for a decade and feels a bit stuck. She isn‘t advancing the way she wanted and feels she‘s doing the work of those going out on maternity leave or caring for kids. Then she suddenly finds herself faking a pregnancy to try to change her situation. I wasn‘t sure about this one at first, but I liked the characters and it turned out to be fun.
Since I started reading this on the beach, I'm transported back there whenever I pick it up. I'm going to be sad to finish this because of that!
Up and out early this morning for some final reading on the beach before my afternoon flight home. Such an incredible vacation and productive reading trip. I hope it's not too long until my next one!!
As it's the last full day of my vacation, I can't help but think extending this into a "Meternity" would be the right thing to do, haha.
My book haul from yesterday... Is bad that I am hoping for a big show storm soon so I can crawl under a blanket and into these beauties???
Found the perfect book to balance out the sadness of Mischling. It is making me laugh so hard. Do you think my friends would forgive me if I faked a pregnancy to get some time off? I posed the question on twitter @ kendallmorganhall but so far no one has weighed in 😊
