I usually have at least 3 books on the go; 1 audio, 1 #sundaybuddyread and 1 random. Sometimes I have another small book on the go if my random is a chunkster. A favourite this year was Horse by Geraldine Brooks and I don‘t think I‘ve bailed on anything this year. Last book I bailed on was Let‘s Get Lost by Aldi Asaid sorry I‘m a day late

Eggs Thanks for joining in 📚🥳👍🏼 1y

My intellectual stimulation for the day. Helping myself cope with my mom's Alzheimer's diagnosis. So far, it's depressing, but helpful.

readordierachel Sorry about your mom. That's really tough 💕 5y
Bookzombie I‘m so sorry about your mom. Sending lots of love and strength to you. 5y
the_hibernator Thanks @readordierachel and @Bookzombie ! It was a hard diagnosis to get, but she just turned 80, so she's rather lucky as far as Alzheimer's patients go. A lot of people get it at a younger age. 🤤 5y

I haven't really been active here lately. My dad was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's five years ago and he's declined so rapidly that we are going to be transitioning him into a memory care facility in two weeks. My brain has not dealt with this well and sent me into a manic episode, which has made everything harder. I'm still here and I miss y'all. When my brain settles down, I'll be back. That's all. ❤️

DGRachel {hugs} That's a lot to deal with. Hoping things settle down for you soon. 7y
