pickI love Hale's Christmas romances, although this one wasn't my favorite bc the love interest was a little too work obsessed. But it's set in my hometown of Richmond, and except for the large amts of snow, I could tell the author had spent time here (and visited my fav coffee shop Shockoe Espresso, which sadly didn't survive Covid).

so-soThis one started out with promise, but by the end I found the lead character pretty annoying. Loved the kids, but the writing, especially the dialogue, was a bit stilted. I don't regret reading it, but its definitely not a favourite.
pickNot a bad read, just somewhat boring. I realize these books are all predictable, but there was zero tension here, and Adam's sudden willingness to slow down his work and spend more time with his family felt abrupt. This was a so-so for most of the book, but I appreciated the way Hale decided to conclude the story which brought it up to an overall soft pick for me.
I'm always up for another readathon!!! Although at first I misread this graphic and though it started December 31 and ended January 1 and was like, Wow I am going to have to really pack in some reading for New Year's Eve 😂 ANYWAY now that I've actually read this correctly...!!!
I have 19 books left on my original December TBR, so I'm going to see if I can knock those out, including the tagged book, which I just started yesterday at bedtime!
Little festive read ... I bought this book last year & never got around to reading it ... So I saved it for this year instead ☺️
