so-so

I had a teeny weeny bit of a problem with this one. First, it's how a person not making a mistake is celebrated, with paparazzi awaiting her outside her house everyday. And nobody knows her name except for her moniker (the title of the book).

Second, mistakes that her brother made - dancing with hands, playing the piano with his feet aren't mistakes! Even drawing with green beans!

A gentle reminder that it is OK to make mistakes. Maya has a perfectionist streak, and we‘ve worked hard with her to accept mistakes as opportunities for growth. I like some other kid‘s books on the topic more than this one, but this was okay. I wasn‘t a fan of the illustrations.

I would use this as a RA to encourage students to not be afraid to try. It would help improve classroom culture. They could write about a time when they made a mistake. #UCFSU19

The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes is a RF book by Mark Pett and
Gary Rubinstein & illustrated by Mark Pett. TS is a S. It is about a girl
named Beatrice who has never made a mistake in her life! There is a
talent show at her school and she is going to perform a juggling act
with a water balloon, her hamster, and a salt shaker. There is just
one problem… she realizes that it is not salt but black pepper in the
shaker. This causes her hamster to
