For those who are a fan of the movie, Willow, I think it's fair to say that this novelization of the film is an enjoyable read. It's not the best writing, and there are better fantasy novels out there. This book is more for the nostalgia of a fun movie. 3 out of 5.

Time to finally read the book adaptation of one of my favourite movies of all time: Willow. This movie has a special place in my heart, so when I found this book, I had to get it. Now I get to read the novelization and start March with a fun adventure.

Rereading this adaptation from my childhood. Not great literature, but nostalgia smooths out the rough edges. Did you know there is a trilogy that continues the story and that was never made into films?! I asked for them for Christmas!

It's Willow, here, that was #publishedinthe80s, but the trilogy inspired by it is also worth a read, so I included it. I practically grew up on this movie, so it's no surprise I snapped up the trilogy when I discovered it! #junebookbugs

Great! Written after the movie was released, so it's pretty much a novel, shot for shot of the movie. However, the book gives some background information on the characters that we don't get in the movie. 4/5.

GuiltyFeat Just FYI George Lucas outlined a three-volume sequel which was written by long-time X-Men writer Chris Claremont and began with Shadow Moon. I read the first two books 15 years ago and I've had the 3rd in my TBR pile since then... which should tell you all you need to know. 9y
