This is a story of faith and perseverance. The author included some of the real people (William Bradford and others) from the Mayflower and Plymouth Colony, but the main characters were fictionalized. I love that the author also included some real details from her research. I feel like I learned a lot about the Mayflower‘s voyage, and about the Saints and Strangers that came over from England. (I had never heard those terms before.)

Little disappointed but this was an easy listen. Will give the series one more shot on audio.

hes7 It helps that each book is by a different author. Griep‘s is my favorite of the ones I‘ve read. 4y
megnews @hes7 I was thinking that about the different authors too. My library only has 3 audiobooks. Captured Bride isn‘t one of them. I‘m trying Pirate Bride next. See how it goes. 4y

While reading this well-written book, I came to a greater understanding of what life was like for the passengers and crew of the Mayflower. They sustained great loss and discouragement. However, with faith, persistence and plenty of hard work, they were able to accomplish much and welcome joy back into their lives. I also enjoyed the sweet and satisfying love story that was woven throughout the book. Well done.

check out my guest bathroom at my daughter's house ~ she knew I would be exhausted and tense after the long drive (not to mention that I worked 3rd shift last night and slept less than 2 hours before driving 6+ hours). Tonight I used the lavender bath bomb. I read the first 47 pages in complete relaxation!

MoonWitch94 That‘s so sweet! I‘m in love with that shower curtain 😍 5y
BooknerdsLife That‘s so sweet of her and what a great choice of the curtain 🤗😍😍😍 5y
